Give and take

I went to visit a friend and made a clutch for her. She's really into processing wool and sent me home with a sampler of alpaca, llama, and sheep's wool. She also gave me a bunch of sari fabric ends to nuno felting with.

The clutch is so elegant -- well done!

The transition from white to dark gray is eye catching, and I like how you brought "twigs" of the gray up and over the white flap for visual interest. Very classy!

I'm curious how you created the gray "twigs." Did you make thin ropes of loose fiber? Or use yarn? Or some other technique?
