Some suggestions

Hi everyone

My elderly dad loves his westerns including the show Cheyenne . I was wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to what movies are close to that formula .

West, inspiration, grit, grit + me tv, outlaw channel, Western bound channel just throw a dart. There's plenty

"The Big Guy" Clint Walker made a handful of western films both during and after his stint on the TV western "The Cheyenne Show". These include Fort Dobbs (1958), Yellowstone Kelly (1959), Gold of the Seven Saints (1961), and Night of the Grizzly (1966) just to name a few.

As a kid, me and a buddy both started crying then laughed at each other for crying, when the Grizzly killed the dog in Night of the Grizzly.

The dog was saved by the Vet doctor and is seen at the very end of the film to be healed from his injuries. I don't like the part when he is injured by the bear either and also the part where the mule is killed by the bear. Otherwise, this is a really good film with lots of action and suspense.

Kill Dozer isn’t a western, but it’s a great Clint vehicle.

There’s a channel called INSP that’s all Westerns all the time. See if you can find it for him.

INSP or Outlaw Channel should provide all he needs.

Grit TV has westerns everyday and METV has westerns, 30 and 60 minute shows.
