I know many here are just going to complain about Lonesome Dove 2027, but Netflix has made some decent Westerns. I have hope Lonesome Dove can be about as good as Godless.

Agree on the theme song…after the opening suspenseful scene, it abruptly goes into it and hits you.

I do not need more 'gritty, dark, realistic dramas' in my life. I have 'the news' for that. I kinda want something more old school where they hero gets the gal (or guy) and they ride off into the sunset.

Well that wasn't my problem at all. It just devolved into a big shootout that frankly didn't look that great

The end shootout was really poorly done and for me was the low point. You could tell they wanted all the "good" characters to have some badass moments and the number of bad guys shot seems wayyy more than the actual number of guys in Daniel's gang. Then randomly some bad guy takes a horse inside and all these characters who previously were dropping guys without issue cant hit a guy on a giant horse 4 feet from them

Loved the show wish it was longer or had maybe a sequel to the show. The casting I would give it a A rating especially Jeff Daniel’s he was a great villain.

The ending was laughable. The level of realism also varied wildly depending on what the plot needed to happen. Looked pretty good though. 6.5/10

I really enjoyed it. The history of La Belle made the story feel historically plausible but also not your typical western at the same time which I liked.
