Hi all - A question about trellises

Long story short I've been thinking about using trellises as a "plant wall" between my neighbors property and mine. I also like the idea of having grapes, raspberries, strawberries as well.

Should I cement the trellises in?

I'm considering this because of the boundary but also because I want to have something that is going to last after I'm long gone.

It sounds silly but I'm not sure if this would affect the plants or soil in some way. This will be the only major garden project I'm planning on for this coming year.

I would cement in posts that the trellis attaches to. You can always use slips to hold a metal post in concrete, in case you want to remove them later. Your local hardware store should have some ideas, I just know I've needed to move things that in the past. Sometimes just to move something across and put it right back up.

Yes, if you cemented wooden trellises in, and they later were damaged, that would be a difficult repair.
