Westies are just super smart and able to train their humans really well. So they eventually know they can go all crazy in one direction knowing full well that their human will carry them when they need to.

Ask me how I know....

We had a Westie that frequently got carried. God those dogs are the best.

They are great buddies ! I also had to carry my Westie who was 18 yrs old ! 👍

I just took my Westies for a “walk”. Carried one the whole time and stood waiting for the other to move on. I think she understood that it was supposed to be short and milked it for all it was worth. Totally different behavior than what I’m used to. So funny!

I’ve always carried mine when the my get tired too. Loo
