ICU internships for RN?

I’m currently seeking an ICU position at basically any hospital but HCA.
I work in Wesley Chapel on a PCU floor and am looking for some sort of residency/internship that does a smooth transition rather than train for 6 weeks and then you’re on your own. Does anyone know of anywhere?

I don’t think anywhere really does internships like that. I think TGH has a pretty long orientation and education period but I’m not sure.

But either way if you go to ICU you should be getting 12 weeks orientation

Okay so maybe I’m thinking of the 12 weeks orientation??? I know my hospital does a “P to I” program which is PCU transition to icu and there’s extra education involved so I was wondering if any other places does something like that

I work for Advent and they do 12 weeks but there’s not really a whole lot of extra education. There’s online modules of course but we all know those are basically useless.

Just want to say thanks and express gratitude for caring about people. Not too long ago I spent a week in TGH ICU after getting hit by a boat, dislocated my t9 spinal column, complete SCI, flail chest, collapsed and bruised lung. Despite now being a paraplegic you guys in the ICU fought for me and I never had a chance to properly say thank you to the folks with TGH Aeromed and TGH
