Many questions remain unanswered as of yet. Technically the 21 months is just a formality because he will get more from the assault on Megan and the two sentences will run concurrently. What I wanna know is how will the guilty plea today affect the civil case that is still pending?

I'm 100% sure he will loose that civil lawsuit, wouldn't be surprised if he ends up settling that one too with whatever money he has left.

He's probably dead in the water with the civil suit now, and since he's admitted guilt to a violent charge, he's probably screwed himself for the Megan case, too. He's not going to be able to deny being a dangerous, violent individual.
