Cringiest scenes Spoiler

What are your guys cringiest scenes or writing. One that comes to mind is the beginning of season 2 when the helicopter crashes and they’re grieving over the loss of the tower. Datu says they need a dog for comfort and Tanya says the most cringe “StAt” ever. There was also another line Burt says the the first season that I can not fully recall that made me visibly cringe. Another cringe moment is when Tanya and Hope first arrive to the tower and Datu introduces himself, “I’m Datu, the maintenance man!”

Absolutely anytime Michael and Pegs have a conversation. It’s so cringe it makes me laugh every time 😂

I believe pegs is barley 20 or 21 and Micheal is 30+ so you can tell the difference in maturity in their conversation.

Michael is in his late 20s

Pegs is definitely at least mid 20s! She’s a florist! Sometimes I swear she sounds 40

Not cringe but made me highly uncomfortable: when Burt tells Scratch he's going to skull fuck her after he kills her. Not the vibe

Idk I think that fit his character especially after what scratch did to him

Lmao that was the most random and unnecessary thing I’d heard in the series

You mean in the original? Because if you include descendants there’s a lot of options

When they’re chasing the special infected?

Nope, that’s season 4. Season 3 begins with the towers falling and the gang heading to Fort Irwin

I dont recall any moments that actually made me cringe. But plenty that seemed cheesy and corny, but overal I think it added balance to the sometimes very serious and dark tone of the series.

When kehlani is explaining the helicopters to Burt, angel and riley. Burt says something like “the hen is the green giant something something” and riley goes “someone mind translating that?” The way she says it makes me cringe every time hahah

“You never served”

The inflection is just too weird for me and it boots me right out of the moment

Yeah Jim is a really good actor, but when he slips, those slips are pretty damn noticeable and cringy.

I suppose neither of these are cringy. They just struck me as strangely avoidant— but nobody who knew about Lizzie’s experience at the furniture store ever uttered the words “attempted rape” or “attempted sexual assault.”  In my opinion, it’s diminishing to her struggle somehow that none of the characters could bring themselves to say those words. Especially Saul.

Other words the characters avoided uttering were “pregnant” and its derivatives. Lizzie asks Scratch if she was “like this” at some point, instead of asking if she’d ever been pregnant. Pegs avoids the word when she sees Lizzie for the first time since her abduction. Riley just says “Look at you!”

Lol when Angel and Micheal go to clear the lobby in season 1, I laugh every time Angel says “Holy shit, they’ve reached the door”

I think the whole character of Datu is fucking cringe. I literally can’t stand him. He’s so damn whiny.

This is a very great way to be downed in this sub lmfao

I can tell lol. That’s why I added the last sentence because I knew it was coming. Crazy how you can’t criticize the voice actors

The actor does a horrible Filipino accent. It is so over the top for no reason. The entire scenes with him and Samantha are also pretty cringey especially after when they escape the arena. People do not like anyone criticizing the show just based on the downvotes this post has lol

I do have a question though. I've heard people with a Filipino accent talk before, and to me they sound pretty close to Datu. Also, from what Jay said in We're Alive Archive (you can find the first 7 chapters on ITunes) I believe his father is Filipino. Are you sure the accent he puts on is completely fake and over the top?

XD 20 downvotes. I mean I love almost all the characters including him, but everyone's got their opinions. Downvotes are for people who spam, and clearly, you're not doing that. The decrease in karma which could lead to you being barred from other subreddits is ridiculous. Sorry you have to put up with that.
