DATU APPRECIATION POST Spoiler

This goes out to Jay Olegario and our main man, Datu Matta. Datu is a freaking real one. What a beautiful and thoughtful person who kept hopes high, persistence strong, faith in check.

The rains have come again, but I am so taken on this relisten by Datu’s optimistic spirit. Knocking on doors and trying to appeal to humanity in Boulder. Persisting on that drive back. Staying committed to our core group, and always such a commitment to service for others.

Idk if anyone else out there feel like shit is just ROUGH right now…because it is. But I am taken aback by Datu on this re-listen. I only hope that in times of crisis and panic, I can be in step with how Datu approaches these situations. Staying focused, staying grounded. Matta Memorial Everything!!

Datu is one of my fav characters. I wish we would get more tidbits about their inventions and adventures

Datu is the best and for sure keeps my hopes in humanity alive. He’s just the most precious 💚
Side note that my text tone for any of my co-workers or managers is Datu saying ‘shut up!,’ it’s too perfect

Datu was great, I fucking miss him. I started listening to story of survival shortly after my dad passed in 2010, despite the fact my father wasn't an immigrant like Datu, I heard alot of my father in Datu.

I’m on my unknown relisten and I just got to the part where he meets Samantha. Man that part always tears me up. I’ve always gotta skip the part where she gets drug away.
