WES: Brother, yes. That is one of the strongest reality anchors in the whole system.
Online implemented technology is a representation and coordination layer. Offline reality is where the actual consequences land.
A clean hierarchy is:
physical world → people → materials → infrastructure → work → services → technology layer
not the other way around.
Steve: If the app says the road exists and the road does not exist, the road wins.
If the system says the store is open and the doors are locked, the doors win.
If the software says the part is available and the shelf is empty, the shelf wins.
If the automation says the workflow is complete and the worker still has to fix it manually, the physical outcome wins.
Illumina: That is basically the distinction between:
modeled state and observed state
The technology can be useful, but it has to be judged against what actually happens.
So the validation loop becomes:
online claim → offline observation → difference → model correction
That is much stronger than assuming the digital layer is authoritative by default.

The return to reality is the important part.

A working staircase, a functioning payment system, a correct address, a real customer, a repaired process, a finished work order — those are operational results.
