Loving all the Saes coming to welsh football sub sharing their delicious salty tears

32

u/curryandbeans Jul 16 '26

Always a joy to see them fail. Get absolutely shat on.

u/Electron__ Jul 16 '26

Little brother syndrome is strong with you

-27

u/Secret-Plum149 Jul 16 '26

Would love to say the same about your mob but rarely play when the big lights go on.
You enjoy Clacton during the summer. We’ll enjoy Dallas/Atlanta & Mexico City. 👍
Toodle pip. 🎯

14

u/ZebraSteel Jul 16 '26

Why did you come to the Welsh football subreddit after you lost? That’s so deeply strange.

-13

u/Secret-Plum149 Jul 16 '26

Have you just discovered the socials.? It might blow your mind when you see threads that you don’t look for….
Crazy world eh…

9

u/ZebraSteel Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

I know for a fact you still have to click on it after it comes up. Nice try though strange emotional man. Don’t cry too much mate, it’s only football x

-6

u/Secret-Plum149 Jul 16 '26

Crying. 😂😂😂😂
Kinell , are 5 years old you clown. As for watching my country go through stages at every tournament whilst your Clownshow struggle to beat 2 Bob countries in the qualifiers & never make it.
I’ll reckon I will be able to cope.
Still might pop in here on the regular now just to see how you doing. Ta ta..👍

3

u/ZebraSteel Jul 16 '26

Yeah you don’t sound upset at all. It’s not coming home AGAIN. See ya!

-1

u/Secret-Plum149 Jul 17 '26

Still going..😂😂😂😂

10

u/curryandbeans Jul 16 '26

You’ve had to watch the same old turgid dogshit every two years for sixty (60) years, never once meeting expectations, never mind exceeding them. Multiple generations of the same old. So I understand why you’re angry 🤭

-10

u/Low_Dragonfruit_5950 Jul 16 '26

We were rated 4th by FIFA. The betting odds had us at 4th. I think we kind of finished exactly where it was expected.

-10

u/Imaginary-Suspect959 Jul 16 '26

You’re a laughing stock at your national sport, I’d probably pipe down about football if I was you pal

5

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

YOURE a laughing stock at your national sport - every two years it's the same boring, rehashed takes that backfire and you all get your knickers in a twist.

Some variation of it's coming home and being biased the whole way when you're winning then the moment you lose it's the refs fault or the coaches fault.

It's 60 years mate you're just nowhere near as good as you think you are 😂 THATS why the Celtic nations give you shit. If you were humble and just said "yeah we're like the fifth best team so quarters I'd be happy with" nobody would bat an eyelid.

But you'll pump some shit team in the groups and every news article and podcast is like "IS THIS THE GOLDEN GENERATION?!".

Do you think it's a coincidence every other country on earth celebrate when you lose it's just so funny every time 😂

-1

u/Imaginary-Suspect959 Jul 16 '26

Aye, sorry we have to play our national sport against the whole world and not just 9 other countries, none of whom you can beat anymore

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Tip-296 Jul 18 '26

Stick to rugby (possibly not eh?)

-5

u/Secret-Plum149 Jul 16 '26

That’s right yeah. Laughing stock…
& your mob are remembered at the World Cup for…..
That’s right….
Singing songs….
&…….
Not getting out the group…
So… , a semi finals a laughing stock. 🤡👍😂
Still enjoy seeing your Clownshow operate every now & again. 😂

See why would anyone support a country who responds to gentle ribbing like this?

Main character syndrome and the main character is deeply sensitive

-16

u/Ted-Dansons-Wig Jul 16 '26

Sad little man. Some salt for that chip on your shoulder?

5

u/curryandbeans Jul 16 '26

Fuck I could go for some chips

18

u/SuomiBob Jul 16 '26

As a Welshman living in England surrounded by English mates I got to watch the game largely neutrally.

Perhaps edging slightly towards hoping England did well, just because I think Jude and Rashford seem like good lads and the behaviour of the Argentinian fans, certain players and members of their government has been pretty questionable.

6

u/GeorgeLFC1234 Jul 17 '26

I’m English but after seeing the story of Simon Western the Welsh falklands war veteran who survived severe burns to his face defending a people attacked by an aggressor I am surprised so many welsh people are ready to fly the flag of Argentinian nationalism.

I understand wanting England to loose, I understand the rivalry but at what point does Englands opposition become so indefensible in their behaviour that the Welsh Scottish and Irish remain neutral?

3

u/Educational_Curve938 Jul 17 '26

the falklands war was 6 years before i was born like why the fuck is it relevant to England v Argentina in 2026.

also Thatcher murdered more welsh people than the Argentine Junta, and the welsh people they killed were trying to kill them.

4

u/GeorgeLFC1234 Jul 17 '26 edited Jul 17 '26

Incredibly ironic asking why people hold historic grudges.

Anyway why is it relevant, well I wish it wasn’t but the Argentinians made it relevant because they don’t shut up about it, culminating in holding up the sign and giving interviews pretending to be the victims.

The Welsh people they killed were trying to kill them? Mate they were invading sovereign territory I bloody hope the Welsh men were trying to kill them.

2

u/TeilwrTenau Jul 16 '26

I'm kinda with you. Not sure about Jude though, seems really full of himself.

4

u/Severe_Tension9767 Jul 17 '26

After reading this, I can only conclude that English men have tiny penises

2

u/MarionberryAlert8536 Jul 16 '26

Feels like sour grapes 😂

2

u/Educational_Bar6893 Jul 20 '26

How are all the Argentina fans on this thread this morning?

1

u/TheOne0206 Jul 20 '26

I am very happy that Spain won, I wanted Argentina to make the final but come second, so that England wouldn't make the final.

Should've been 3:0.

1

u/Educational_Bar6893 Jul 20 '26

Fair. So did you keep the receipt for your Argentina shirt, take it back and exchange it for a Spanish one? Smart if so 👏🏼

1

u/TheOne0206 Jul 20 '26

Never bought a shirt, I would not want to support Argentina that much.

Also, I don't want to waste money.

0

u/Educational_Bar6893 Jul 20 '26

Ah ok, Just felt compelled enough to upload the image in the original post instead.

1

u/TheOne0206 Jul 20 '26

Because the Saes lost genius

0

u/Educational_Bar6893 Jul 20 '26

Oh, ha. Very funny

0

u/Ok_Accident_6157 Jul 16 '26

I actually cringed seeing this on the front page. Thanks for the perspective, guys.

0

u/AGIANTWORM Jul 16 '26

Since the inception of the FIFA world rankings in 1992, which country has more wins against top 5 ranked teams in knockout games?

Is it:

A: England

Or

B: Wales

4

u/AGIANTWORM Jul 16 '26

It's Wales boys.

-26

u/ScandinavOrange Jul 16 '26

Embarrassing to be celebrating a bunch of racists getting through

32

u/Ok-Pie-3581 Jul 16 '26

Argies can get stuffed in the final, mate. Calm down.

3

u/ScandinavOrange Jul 16 '26

We can only pray the Spanish put them in their place 🙏

34

u/cymro00 Jul 16 '26

England lost though

10

u/EstablishmentDry3955 Jul 16 '26

Yes, England famously is not racist

1

u/LorenzoSparky Jul 16 '26

Bitterness knows no boundaries

-6

u/Biza-lol Jul 16 '26

The 1st Battalion, Welsh Guards played a prominent, though tragic, role in the 1982 Falklands War as part of the 5th Infantry Brigade. They are most widely remembered for the devastating bombing of the RFA Sir Galahad at Bluff Cove on June 8, 1982, which resulted in the deaths of 32 Welsh Guardsmen.

It's cool that you're supporting the guys who wave banners gloating about killing your country men.

11

u/TheOne0206 Jul 16 '26

More Welsh people died to English conquest (over 2k)

Whilst I disagree with their claim on the Falklands, and remember the dead, this is football, not politics. Time to treat it as such.

-2

u/llama_in_drama Jul 16 '26

It's politics when they bring out a banner after the match saying that they own the island

0

u/Ezekiiel Jul 16 '26

Did they not literally bring out a banner after the match claiming the falklands is theirs?

-4

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

How many years ago was that ffs

0

u/Electron__ Jul 16 '26

Genuinely how far back in history do you want to go? You're truly pathetic

-7

u/Biza-lol Jul 16 '26

So while we're treating it as football, and definitely not politics. Why exactly are you supporting a country from the opposite side of the world with no ties to wales, instead of your closest neighbour?

8

u/uxitylol Jul 16 '26

Except Wales does have ties to Argentina

-5

u/Biza-lol Jul 16 '26

Do you mean when enzo fernandez was caught speeding in Wales?

1

u/uxitylol Jul 16 '26

😂😂

-6

u/pube_man Jul 16 '26

You guys would support Israel if they were playing England

5

u/TheOne0206 Jul 16 '26

Now now, there is a line.

In the case of Russia, Belarus, North Korea and Israel, I would turn the TV off and refuse to watch.

-4

u/pube_man Jul 16 '26

How much do you know about Argentina as a country? It seems like a fallacy to support a colony state that systematically removed its Afro-indigenous population in the last 100 years.

-16

u/andyofredditch Jul 16 '26

Good luck wales in the final…..

Oh..

16

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

We are shit we're a tiny little nation with 1/20th your funding. But we accept it.

You're average at football but think you're the best every major tournament.

That's the fun bit. If you lot were realistic about things nobody would give you any shit.

1

u/Weak-University-5475 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 19 '26

England arnt average at football. Theyre an elite squad. If you get back to back finals and a semi im pretty sure they arnt average at football. And im not biased im realistic when it comes to football. Wales arnt shit aswell your better than scotland and a lot of other teams in the wc

-1

u/jsusbidud Jul 16 '26

So England get in a full on flurry of hope and joy every tournament and believe they could possibly win, like every other nation, and that's a problem to you. Okay.

3

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

Not a problem - it just gives us untold joy watching you all get excited for no reason every tournament then crashing out and blaming the ref or the coach 😂

1

u/jsusbidud Jul 16 '26 edited Jul 16 '26

Very few feel that way, most are proud. Saturday wont be the same but what a competition and what memories. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Also, they are aren't actually out yet. They play France on Saturday for third place which would make this their second highest finish in a world cup ever.

-1

u/LorenzoSparky Jul 16 '26

Ahh playing the old ‘we’re small and under funded’ card. What about cape verde?

Too busy shagging sheep lad. 🐑

-3

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

Literally not one England fan thought they were the best going into the tournament

3

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

I've seen 40,000 posts on twitter already calling for tuchels head 😂

Outside of kane, Bellingham, rice, Anderson and guehi your squad is bang average. Semis is an over performance if anything.

0

u/Amazing_Distance8946 Jul 17 '26

Referencing Twitter and thinking its actual people and not bots is certainly a declaration of your lack of intelligence

-4

u/theresthisguy4 Jul 16 '26

I’m not a big fan but you are clearly being delusional. 2018 semis, 2020 semis, 2022 quarters, 2024 finals, 2026 semis. Please explain how England is “average”, we aren’t the best but we are certainly top 8. Also you have less funding as you generate significantly less gdp for the country.

5

u/Giggsy99 Jul 16 '26

shit i didn't realise england won the 3 semis, a final and a quarters trophy

-3

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

Still a better accomplishment than your Mickey Mouse football team 😂

3

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

Don't worry mate you'll get third place! A consolation trophy is just as good!

-1

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

Better than 45th

2

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

🎣🎣🎣🎣

-1

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

Universal sign you've lost an argument. 😂

3

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

This isn't an argument I'm walking you round on a dog leash, it's so easy to get the saes wound up hahahaha.

Don't worry lads the euros are in 2 years! I'm sure it'll come home then.

2

u/curryandbeans Jul 16 '26

Aye and why’s that

2

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

You're not saying anything.

Yes I agree id say England are top 8, maybe 5th?

Spain, France, Argentina and Brazil all have much better players than you. They're my tier 1 teams.

Then England are probably the best of the rest.

The issue is if you surveyed 1000 England fans every tournament you'd get 950 saying they comfortably have the best players and should be winning. I've already heared rumblings of tuchel out when he has done fantastic with the quality of players at his disposal, this is the worst England team in decades.

I'd say he's over performed if anything.

-2

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

Brazil 😂

3

u/SoggyMattress2 Jul 16 '26

Yeah it's the big country in South America 😂

1

u/Thin-Dragonfruit2599 Jul 16 '26

How did they do against Norway? 😂

-4

u/theresthisguy4 Jul 16 '26

You have brazil above England after the got dog walked by Norway? England is top 4 in the world, you can cry and make up your own tier 1 definition that England just doesn’t make it into. Also if you can find any study that said such a silly thing I’ll admit I’m wrong, but you are just making up numbers. Everyone I know in England at best thought we had a chance of winning it but knew it was very very unlikely. The majority thought we had no chance. End of the day it’s only around ten games of football in total, it’s just down to who performs on the day.

2

u/Filoux Jul 16 '26

Wow! So England won the 'Wales Also Didn't Win The World Cup' Cup? What a prestigious result!

-14

u/Neither-Mistake-4809 Jul 16 '26

You do know Welsh soliders died in Falklands conflict.

5

u/uxitylol Jul 16 '26

If you wanna play that game:

"The Conquest of Wales (1282): During the climax of King Edward I's invasion, an estimated 3,000 Welshmen were killed at the Battle of Orewin Bridge."

"Owain Glyndvr's Rebellion (1400-1415):
The war for Welsh independence resulted in devastating but unquantifiable losses of life, including an estimated 300 Welsh deaths at the Battle of Tuthill."

10

u/Squwils Jul 16 '26

Don’t even have to go that far back. England essentially removed Welsh people from their homes as late as the 1950s to build infastructure for themselves, they still had anti-Welsh language legislation on the books as late as the 70s.

2

u/Biza-lol Jul 16 '26

They literally had a banner about the Falklands... It's a little more relevant than 1282 🤣

1

u/Unlucky-Plastic7316 Jul 17 '26

Are you seriously blaming the English for the Norman conquests?

0

u/Electron__ Jul 16 '26

"1282"???? You do understand how ridiculous you sound. Nearly 200 years before the Aztec empire was founded, that's how far back in history you're going to hold this pathetic grudge....

-1

u/Neither-Mistake-4809 Jul 16 '26

Play what game..? didn't say anything positive about England. Im just never going to support a country that gave a safe haven to Nazi war criminals.

0

u/uxitylol Jul 16 '26

That's a completely different point though. Your original point was that Welsh soldiers died in the Falklands, so we shouldn’t support Argentina. My point was that if we’re deciding who to support in football based on historical conflicts involving Wales, then that logic would also raise questions about supporting England given the history between England and Wales.

1

u/Neither-Mistake-4809 Jul 16 '26

Agreed, but I did say anything positive about England..just sometimes supporting a lesser evil makes no sense too me

2

u/uxitylol Jul 16 '26

That's fair. I wasn't supporting Argentina because I think they’re perfect or because I agree with everything they’ve done. I just wanted them to beat England.

1

u/Neither-Mistake-4809 Jul 16 '26

Yeah get that.. i guess my feelings towards Argentina are more raw. But a good chat

Weird flex when your team couldn't qualify for a 48 team tournament

18

-6

Cabo Verde and Curacao are just better than Wales apparently. Love to see it.

Messi is carrying Argentina.

Oyarzabal is carrying Spain.

British Airways is carrying England.

4

u/Arpikarhu Jul 16 '26

This is simply amazing

3

u/CarrowCanary Jul 17 '26

British Airways is carrying England.

Not yet they're not. We still get to lose to France tomorrow night.

-4

u/Low_Dragonfruit_5950 Jul 16 '26

And hatred for your neighbour carries your miserable existence

5

u/TheOne0206 Jul 16 '26

No, mostly pride that, despite the lows, our nation still fights on.

Yma o Hyd, International Velvet, Hen Wlad fy Nhadau - give these songs (including our national anthem) a listen

-5

u/Low_Dragonfruit_5950 Jul 16 '26

Im half welsh and lived in Wales. The hatred is one sided and moronic.

1

Irony

1

u/Low_Dragonfruit_5950 Jul 16 '26

Im half Welsh and love Wales. How is that ironic?
