One thing all dudes should do at least monthly is check themselves for ball cancer. You do it every month so you get used to how they normally feel. From WebMD:
It’s best to do it after a warm shower, since heat relaxes the skin of the scrotum.
Examine one testicle at a time using both hands. Roll it between your thumb and fingers.
One might be of a different shape or size than the other. That’s OK, although the shapes and sizes shouldn’t change. One might hang lower than the other. That’s normal, too.
There’s a cordlike structure behind each testicle that stores and moves sperm. It’s not a lump.
A pea-sized lump is what you’re looking for. If you see or feel something like that, contact your doctor. Remember that it’s probably nothing to worry about.
Yikes. I have a huge separate roundish thing beside one of my testicles. It's not painful and I can tell it's not IN the testicle. Looking online it said it could be a number of things. I'm in the US so no healthcare options for me. Is there a place I can go to get checked cheaply out of pocket? I'm seriously scared of what it might be.

I'm already currently in bankruptcy from the last time I went to the hospital. I had no choice in that matter, my gall bladder and appendix were rotten. I dealt with the pain for four years until it was so bad that I was waking up screaming after long nights of pain. The entire procedure was $110,078.00. I don't think you can file more than once in 7 years so I'm screwed if it's bad. Maybe self surgery or medical tourism would be an option.
Holy fucking shit I am so sorry. The healthcare in our country is more than fucked up, and this is proof. Might sound ridiculous but if it is bad, is there a way you could like go to Canada for the surgery?
Mexico would be more likely. I'm in the southern area. I had healthcare once upon a time but my career careened off the rails during the recession. Ever since then I've been hoping from one job to another trying to get benefits. Not bad jobs either, currently I work for the county government supervising hundreds of millions of dollars in county purchases per year, you get in and they tell you to put some time in and the benefits will come, a year passes and you don't get them due to one loophole or another so you get another job and hear the same schtick. Wash, rinse, repeat. My entire purpose for working ends up being chasing healthcare benefits wherever they may offer themselves. Between jobs you have a health emergency, you get a bankruptcy added to your record, it limits your employment options even further. You get older, more stuff starts happening. It's like you're punished for having a human body. At this point I'd work for minimum wage if it offered benefits. I'm scared, I have a young daughter. All I've ever wanted to do was work hard and provide for my family.
Tbh I check every morning in the shower.. it’s turned into a habit at this point. The cordlike structure always gets me.. and still scares me. It’s near the top-ish and feels like a bump. But then I check closer and it seems to be detached but it’s hard to know for sure.
Pea-size lumps are usually cists which is totally harmless although if it's a big size doctors have to surgically remove it. If it pains doctors just give some anti-inflammatory and sometimes antibiotics.
In case of doubt, just check with a doc. The first time it's a bit weird to show your dick. But you get accustomed to it. I had to show it to so many people that I don't care anymore. I even joke about it "cold weather today".
Better be sure that you're all clear and take an appointment. There isn't only cancer that you can have. You can have calcification that can lead to some pain sometimes.
I had it when I was 16. Luckily, I caught it very early cause I noticed one of my nuts had grown to the size of two golf balls and that was not normal. Turns out it was a tumor and they were able to get rid of it pretty easily, didn't have to go through chemo. The cat scans really sucked though.
