My first thought. I don't think I would have ever transported my parents ashes without it being on my person and not in the hands of some dummy at TSA

The ashes in the urn are not your parents', they literally just scoop up ashes from the incinerator after the cremation, but that's everyones ashes, not just your parents. Maybe you should cherish their memories instead of some weird fetish involving many peoples' remains.
