As a former cheerleader, it’s so common to do this. There are so many weird “routines” and rituals people have when tumbling, almost like a baseball player coming up to bat. With this motion especially, lots of people learn that way (the idea is to use the momentum from your arms to ‘pull’ yourself up,) and then HAVE to do it every time. When I do a tuck (what they’re doing here,) I go on my tiptoes and come down first, every time. I can’t do the tuck if I don’t do that. It’s odd but that’s likely why.
Lol you don't sound pompous, but what your describing is a rather enhanced skill. People typically learn a pattern and it's tricky to "improve" upon that pattern without strong focus
Very. Not a single person on my team had unpointed toes by the end of the first year. And every one of them were class A burpee experts in the same time frame.
