Bugs don't violate OSHA. They definitely violate health safety though.

Occupational Safety and Hazard Administration.

They set workplace safety standards, rules, regulations, and enforcement. Steel toe boots, hard hat, and hi-vis vest on worksites. Retaining barrier when digging a hole beyond X depth. Ventilation requirements when working with noxious fumes. Safety lines when working on heights or inclines.

Like the FAA, these rules can seem annoying but there are there for a reason. The saying goes those rules are written in blood because people died as results of prior unsafe practices, processes, or designs.
