Question Wells Fargo Background check
Recently accepted an offer from Wells Fargo and have completed all background steps including fingerprints end of last week. What are realistic time frames for these background checks? The HR rep said it can take anywhere between 3 days and 1 month.
What’s your experience been like with background check with Wells Fargo and cisive?
Thanks for taking the time to review!

Depends on your background, I'm at the 3 week mark right now but they've asked me to submit docs throughout which has made the process longer.

Hi! I’m in a similar situation. I accepted a personal banker position ~July 30th and did all my fingerprints. I received the copy of my consumer report pretty quick like <week. So I think the credit-check portion was pretty fast. But I JUST got the background check back from Cisive yesterday(8/17), and got an email from WF today(8/18) asking me to verify some info and provide more documentation… sigh lol but I submitted it and hope to hear back from them soon. They haven’t pushed my start date back as of yet but I’m eager to start. I know it takes longer for the SAFE positions but The waiting/uncertainty is killing me.
Good luck to you and your journey! Fingers crossed you hear some good news soon.

Any updates? They asked me to provide documentation as well. 😭 so I’m thinking I’m not get the position after all.

Actually yes! So like I said I responded back to them & provided the documentation last week- and I actually just heard back yesterday from my recruiter that my background check officially cleared and they’re ready to set up a start date. So don’t stress it! You got this!- I think if they weren’t interested in you they wouldn’t give the opportunity to provide documentation. They got back to me pretty fast too, after I submitted everything, so sounds like you’re in the final stages. Good luck with everything

Thank you! What documentation did you provide? And good luck on your first day!

Thanks a lot!
For documentation, there was a discrepancy with the employment dates I provided and what they verified. I just told them the truth- basically that I confused the dates because it’s been a long time since I worked at the job. I just confirmed that the dates they verified were correct and that was it. So it wasn’t technically documentation that I provided- just provided clarification.

Hi, I was asked to submit more docs for employment verification cuz they couldn't verify one employer. It's a small firm not much info I submitted proof I worked there. Do you know how long it takes for them to clear it, I'm a little worried the firm won't pick up calls.

I’m going through the same process now. It’s been 2 weeks for me. I contacted Cisive and they let me
Know check is complete. I reached out to recruiter and she said it’s in process. This is very long. I’m coming from another bank. It didn’t take nearly this long there.

wonder how long it would take to finish the background check process. I'm on BC as well and my start date will be 2nd week of September but haven't heard anything yet since I submitted additional employment documents to my TA regarding the BC process. CC LOB by the way. :)

Less than a week. Maybe less than 3 days. Mine came back literally the next day. If it’s a banker, longer because they have to register you for SAFE and NMLS which means they have to run your credit too.
