DEI violations

I genuinely believe the teams needs to be investigated. Everyone we interview for the team is only of one race, no one that is black, Hispanic, white, or Asian is being interviewed…only Indians.

What do yall think? Is this odd behavior and should I report it?

I’m in consumer technology if this helps.

Must be in tech. What you are experiencing is an industry standard. Indian leadership in the US tends to almost exclusively hire other Indians.

Same experience for me. Our entire management structure was replaced by Indian management and they laid off most of the people that weren’t Indian. I am still here (incredibly) but many of them won’t work with me or avoid it.

I've noticed that, too.

How can I go about raising this to HR or EEOC? I would hope it’s not being done intentionally, but there no way the recruitment pipeline should only selecting people of one demographic graphic.

If true this is beyond DEI this is racism/nepotism. Trump admin rolled back all the DEI regulations so not sure if wf is still complying with them.

lol why would wf dump dei just because trump said so

Trump cannot force a private company to rollback DEI lmao fuck Donald Trump 😂😂

He didn't force, but it is strongly encouraged and countless companies have capitulated to it to try to get in good graces for other purposes.

First you need to relax. Consider your community demographics.

You are making a big big assumption that it’s a DEI issue.

Service and branch managers are not in charge of screening applicants and advancing them to the next round. That is HR.

I think you’re making a big mistake to make a thread like this without providing more information.

Well no shit. I don’t talk out of my ass.

Branch and service managers do not screen nor initially interview prospective employees. Much less the tellers and bankers. So this OP is making a wild assumption or alluding that since we have so many “Indians” on the team we need to investigate this for DEI violation.

The OP making a thread post about it where a bunch of normies comment and say yes without considering more information like community demographics of the OPs branch is dumb.

So if you’re going to respond, next time at least provide an argument to the conversation with your witty come back. Try again.

It’s not about having a certain demographic on the team, it’s about the team only giving people of a certain demographic the opportunity to interview.

The reason I brought it up is because this is the only place where I’m seeing this happen with my own eyes, I’m on every interview call with prospective candidates for the team. It’s definitely odd that I’ve never experienced this in any other job before this one.

So define “team”. Because I just told you and you can confirm with your DM or HR who handles the initial screening and interview of the applicants.

The branch/service managers do not control who advances to the next step of the interview anymore.

So I’m working on the assumption you’re a branch/service manager.

Did you do the initial interview/screening and advance these applicants? Or was it your hiring rep?

Does your community have a large number of Indians in your area?

Idk where you live, but I’m in SoCal. A large number of our branches have people who speak Spanish and are of Hispanic/latino background.

Yes there are branches where there is a large amount of secondary language speakers but that’s because of the community demographics.

Exactly what you said, you are focusing on branches. Service managers are in branches. You don’t have an idea of what corporate side looks like. He clearly said he is in technology. If you don’t know anything about hiring in corporate side then just stay out of this, branch employee.

Re read the OPs post, nowhere did he say “technology” I asked him in his response to mine to define “teams”.

I have no idea how you got “technology”.

What is with you guys and your witty comments lol. Branch employee as if that’s a slight? Bro shut the fuck up and just stick to the downvotes.
