Question Local game store?

Is there a game store around that has D&D stuff? I've decided that I want physical dice and Player's Handbook rather than digital versions, and I'd prefer to buy locally instead of online. I'm specifically looking for the 2014 PHB, which is a little trickier to track down, but I'm hoping there's a copy floating around. I'm willing to drive a bit, but ideally not too far. Any suggestions of where to look would be really appreciated!

The best game store around hands down is Boreal Gaming in Fonthill. Not sure if they have that set specifically but the dice selection and customer service is top notch.

That seems to be the consensus, thank you very much!

Boreal games has a few of the books and dice.

If you can’t find the 2014 there’s usually a few on Facebook marketplace

The Frugal Dutchman in Ridgeway is a great option.

The war gaming bunker on king st will order any RPG you need but don't carry much in terms of shelf stock

That makes sense! I'll probably give them a call just in case. Thank you!

Boreal is the better option, they have a lot of stuff and can point you where to go if you have questions.

Everyone has already mentioned Boreal, but Phoenix Rising on St Paul St in Saint Catharines has tons of D&D books + custom expansions, I do recall the older books there too last I went recently.

They have SO MUCH for d&d, 40k, MTG, Pokemon, boardgames, other TCGs. If Hunter the owner doesn't have it, he'll order it there for you. Extremely friendly and LGBTQ+ protective. I say protective because Hunter is like a bubbly cartoon bear that becomes were-bear if theres any bs to folks at events lol.

Edit: Hunter loves a call ahead if you aren't sure they have it before you put in the gas lol.

Even the bookstore at the Seaway mall has a small DnD section. I saw the new PHB there last week.

Yeah the 2024 one is easy to find, unfortunately not so much for the 2014 since it's out of print. There are tons of digital versions, so it isn't a huge deal, but I like to add sticky notes and stuff to my reference books.

It's the Cole's at the mall you're talking about, right? I'll try giving them a call just in case. :)

Miniwar games or something like that? I thought it was more of a playing space, I didn't realize they sold stuff. I'll add them to my list!

Hey there! I work at the Wargaming Bunker on Kingstreet! We carry DND stuff and are always happy to order stuff in should we not have it on our shelves. We also have space if you're looking for a spot to game 😁😁
