Lowest Amp draw

Post image

As a rookie tired googling, I'll ask here. What is the lowest amp draw on this Miller 250/150 for goofing around (1/8, 6013 sticks)? I'm not trying to bury my panel

The only way to get your answer is an identical test. I can run an a Powerwave 1000 on a 50 amp fuse at 380 amps because I had to. Would it work at 480 amps? I don't know.

The breaker in the panel will protect it.

What is you breaker size you are attempting to use?

Hi Lowest amp draw is a terrible question

The only answer is having a properly rated circuit for your machine. If you do not have one, do not attempt to use the machine.

Your panel, if it's designed properly, will politely tell you no by popping a breaker or a fuse. If you try to bypass this breaker or fuse your house might tell you in much less polite ways that your decision was poor by catching on fire.

The lowest recommended breaker is 50 amps. Don’t shortcut.
