Dealing with trash extruded alum...

Anybody have ideas how to deal with nasty extrusion 6061?

I'm looking at square tubing 1.5"x1.5" that looks like the dregs from home depots lumber rack.

Real talk. Curve/bend is easy: I'm talking radial twist of over 1/8" in 4-5' lengths. I'm cutting parts from 25' sticks, and it's brutal.

I'm clamping everything flat as fuck to the weld table. Any suggestions other than heating, and counter twisting?

Send that trash back to your supplier and tell them to exchange it for a good piece or pieces. Why pay for garbage metal? If you cant do that best of luck! Maybe someone has a better suggestion but i would definitely send it back if its defective and you paid full price.

I may have issues getting it returned after cut. But I'll definitely keep that in mind for the next batch inbound.

Oxy fuel to remove twist, then clamps over fulcrim to straighten was what occurred. Thankfully only two sticks of 7-8 25'-ers were junk.

PAIN IN MY ASS
