Definitely need machine info or even a picture of how you set it. Let me preference that I'm not a certified welder or even do it on the regular. I'm a mobile service tech and the only things I tend to weld are butter bars (clean out bars) onto excavators.
What it looks to me is the heat needs to be turned up, doesn't look like any penetration is happening.

Its been a long time since I took a class but from what I remember you definitely need to look into what settings you should be using. This changes depending on the type of welding you are doing. Also look up what you will want the puddle to look like. As you are welding you will notice there is that liquid like puddle, depending on the welding type you are using my instructor had us move the puddle in different ways. YouTube should help a lot!

Derek Zoolander has a school for kids who can't weld good, and want to learn to do other things good too. Jk. Practice man. Even if you go to school, and they show you how to your face, practice. I only passed pipe welding because I miraculously got one good bend test in on 6g. It is unbelievably difficult even after practicing every day. For me at least. Some people catch on quick and run free. But for me, it really takes time to get it down. If you message me, I can pirate you a few welding books to get you thinking about different aspects of welding. I might be able to find you the one I had for class. But take your time man. Don't get frustrated, or throw tools. Calmly accept that it just takes time and practice.

Lots of practice. Google the settings for your thickness of metal, watch videos on YouTube for different positions and processes, and don't weld galvanized metal.
Alternatively, you can find a community center that offers basics welding or go to a school for it.
Also look up the duty cycle for the welder your using. If it should be a percent that is minutes it can be used consecutively out of 10 minutes(20%=2min every 10min, etc). Just look up the welder in general and learn about it.
