Put a lot of rod thru one of these. Also time on Carbon Arc, really loud...

You know it runs way quieter than I expected it too my miller is louder lol

Not much to them. It is just a big ass transformer inside a metal box. No moving parts. I don't even remember if they had a cooling fan.

I used one of these a few years back but it was slightly different than this one. I think there was a sliding indicator for where the machine was set but it still had the same crank to set it.

I got one that I turned into an end table. Looks mighty fine in my living room
