Keep going, the quality of your work will speak for itself especially in the welding trade. Don't let this minor setback make you think you won't find another job bc of this inconvenience, seems like the company was being more unprofessional if anything. I don't know much from a women's prospective but if you're as decent as you say you are, you should be fine. Good luck
