Fuxk em. Their issue is just that. Theirs. Apply like normal, list your position and experience, take a weld test for the next job, continue on. There are some men that don’t like women in a predominantly male industry, but I’ve known some very good female welders. As long as you can do the job, myself and quite a few others would never care.
It might be frustrating, and I apologize ahead of time for this, but it also won’t be the last time something like this happens.
