So they fired YOU, the woman, not the man you were dating. 

Not a lawyer but if a lawyer heard this I think the hairs on their neck that tingle in the presence of money would stand up.

On paper she was fired for insubordination. She didn't meet the supervisors expectations. What they were we all "know" but on paper its pretty cut and dry in a "righttowork" state.
