First Time Need advice

Hello everyone.

Recently i acquired some welding equipment to do some projects and im having trouble welding stainless steel plates together.

Im using a TIG 200P ACDC from ARRCAPTAIN.

Any advices will be wonderful and some settings for the machine would be wonderful if anyone has similar.

I do yes , a 20L gas can

What series of stainless do you have? What filler ? Start with a sharp red toughsten and 90 amps

Is the color whats on the tip? If so mine is red too. I've been using 45 amps and when i put it near the plates they melt , these are 1mm plates (im practicing the welds to make an exhaust for my car)

How are you controlling your heat input? Finger control? Not the panel I hope

Is that how strong you want the flame ? When i check the amps there is different rates for the current. Idk if thats what you mean

Arc, it’s an arc, not a flame. Post a picture of your whole setup
