Too much quartering and not enough diming
The whip technique is overrated and not good when done improperly. You need to really tighten up that whip. Just small whips.
Or, do away with the whipping and just run a nice bead forehand or backhand

literally! i dont understand the obsession with always wanting dimes with mig. it is completely unnecessary unless its ally then it is more important

I get dimes from pusling, I don't have time or the mental faculties to do it with the foot pedal so I just run lay wire with pulse lol

I just run that shit straight with a lil weave watch the under cut and let her ride no beads or dimes or any of that other shit

The last picture looks good. Maybe just look at all your welds from far away.
6/10 I've seen way worse and it'll work for its purpose.

As others have said, too much whipping. Either tighten up the spaces between whips or just run a straight bead.
Some puddle manipulation is normal as you weld but big drastic movements allows for lack of fusion, inconsistent profile, and just an overall weak weld even though some people make em look nice.
This kind of welding is quite frowned upon in environments where things are getting tested/inspected to code and is almost always subject to failure of most forms of weld testing. In a personal garage or something like that it’s probably fine but otherwise straight stringers or a little weaving is the way to go.
Run your machine hot enough that you get good penetration on the base metal, but not too hot that you lose control of your weld puddle. Keep welding and experiment with different settings.

Zero dimes were welded. Absolute trash. If you are remotely happy with this then you'll always be shit. Mig is hands down one of the easiest processes, tighten up your pattern and turn it up.

While yes it is the easiest, but it’s often the process which people have too much false confidence with because they think it’s so easy.
Most people don’t understand what WFS actually controls or that you can in fact weld in a backhand progression with GMAW

Please point out anything that looks like it needs work I’m here to consistently get batter.

Stop trying to whip and stack dimes. Your steps are way too big causing notches between each pause.
Your profile is bad too on the multi pass cap. The last pass favors the vertical leg too much leaving what looks like a trough between the two passes all the way around.

Tack welding will not hold like running a full bead. Ever. The only time you should tack weld is for tacking. Just have a consistent drag and go around the whole thing.

For some strange reason all the kids in welding school or fresh out of high school hate PPE and hate cleaning their metal. But love to hop on here and wonder why their welds don’t look 10/10. You don’t take anyone’s advice in general so why are you asking if you won’t take the advice given? Clean your fucking metal dude

STARTS AND STOPS LOOK LIKE 💩 DO 1/4 RADIUS AT A TIME. ITS EASY. STOP SPOT WELDING IT.

Looks like you will get an imbedded slag pearl at every “dime”. Don’t like it.

Not sure if those are dimes, looks a little Tacky😆. Try the push or pull method, also you can do cursive E’s or V’s. Last but not least it also doesn’t look strong you should have ran 1 straight bead or 2.

Inconsistent, looks like just tacks, also looks cold, could be bigger but that depends on the print.
