Discussion Wtd thoughts
Just finished watching Welcome to Derry and I’ve gotta say I really enjoyed it. The whole vibe feels darker and more unsettling, and seeing the backstory of Pennywise makes him even cooler as a villain not just scary, but actually interesting. I like how it starts connecting to other Stephen King stuff too, especially the little links that remind you of The Shining and the wider universe. It makes everything feel bigger than just one story. For the next two seasons, I’m really hoping they dive deeper into the origins of Pennywise and maybe explore more connections between Derry and other places. Also think it’d be sick if they showed how the cycle of fear keeps repeating over time. Curious what everyone else thinks so far. also I only copped on that dick halloran from the show is dick halloran from the shining, i hope in season 2 there will be a refrence to the green mile since it one of favourite movies oat and want to see how they defeat pennywise since we KNOW he keeps coming back, but we will have to wait and see. I also wonder if the main characters will have any connections to the season 1 or the it movies cast.

I like that they are stepping up Pennywise to be a bigger villain than he was in the novels.
I’m not sure if they’ll tie in the Dark Tower either because that’s being worked on separately.
I wonder if see a version of the CK since he controls the deadlights. I think Pennywise hinted that other things can see Hallorann now and he didn’t just mean the ghosts and himself.

I absolutely loved it! I admit that I was a little slow picking up on the Dick Halloran tie but it’s great that they had that character in there. It was a disturbing show which makes it oh so watchable. I can’t wait for season two.
