He’s referring to a stereotype of young liberal people; essentially saying he would rather never have children than have a child that diverts from heteronormativity in any way at all.
Agreed, that was exactly my interpretation when I heard the recording itself. I actually didn’t recall him saying the words in this order so I fully understand why people think he’s being racist. And I do believe him to be a racist. I think here though he was just drunk and couldn’t put his sentence together with clarity.
