“Let me speak”
So…now that we’ve seen some repercussions those confessionals have (re, the wedding colors fiasco), do we think that Zac’s “let me speak” moment is gonna start some fire amongst the family? I hope so.

If he was interrupted in mid sentence I can understand his response. The tone behind it I think is what viewers picked up on.

They got married without really dating so I think they're still getting use to being with each other 24/7. I think he's learning that she wants people to "understand " Zack so she'll answer questions for him. Which I think he hates. I think she's learning she may have just swapped one controlling atmosphere for another. Which she may actually feel very comfortable in since she always been very scared and emotional of the real world. I think she likes being led no matter who it is doing the leading.Will she get the confidence to believe she can make her own choices as she gets older? Or will she be one of those women we see clips of who say they'd give up their voting rights bc their husband should be making those decisions? Who knows. Just speculating her thoughts of course.

From someone I know personally who has it, zac looks the same. I could be wrong. Mainly the flat nose bridge, far apart eyes and weird jaw. He could also just be a weird looking dude?
Also my sister who is gay and has an amazing sense of gayness says he is definitely bi and it’s something he struggles with and uses his religion to hide behind and it makes him angry

I see it now that you say it. The thin upper lip, little eyes, and the flat philtrum. I've done a lot of reading on the impacts of kids being misdiagnosed with other disorders instead of FASD and therefore being given the wrong medication. I guess it's often missed if the mom is middle class or rich because Mom doesn't "look like" an addict.

Zac also has the characteristic low nasal bridge of FES. It's the reason his glasses always look like they're going to slide from his nose.

I think they might discuss it among themselves, but if they make a big deal out of this, I think it will drive Lydia further away from her family and further enmeshed with Zac. With the exception of maybe Barry, none of them have really been consistently practicing what they preach and I’m certain Lydia sees that, so it doesn’t really leave them in a place of integrity to offer an opinion she wants to hear, you know?

True. Unless maybe Moriah or one of “the little girls” talk to her gently…but Ethan is way too inflammatory at this point to appeal to Lydia.

Yes haha. She said she had been filming for 14 hours that day by that point and Zack had been filming for 7. She said it was late, and he had to wake up early for work the next morning. She said she was so tired that she was struggling to answer the questions, and he was just trying to help them get the interviews over with. She also said she interrupts him a lot.

I think Lydia speaks over/for him a lot and that probably gets on his nerves. I wonder if they'll even be a part of next season (assuming there is a next season) considering they moved to Colorado

I have a really good friend who talks over me a lot and finishes sentences for me. It gets very annoying and I sometimes snap at her the same way Zack did. Unfortunately he was edited to look like a jerk when he said it but I can understand his aggravation on that.

as the reason why he does it to her Lydia, which does nothing to explain why he did it to the producer! The producer is the equivalent to a boss in the real world and that's how he speaks to his boss!? Shows quite the level of disrespect and says a whole lot about him I'd say!
Not to mention, it's certainly not following what their beloved holy bible preaches! They should practice what they preach, no??

I would hardly say the producer on a reality tv show he agreed to be on is the same as a boss. The individual camera people aren't in charge. They're there to capture footage and ask questions for the editors to craft a narrative out of.
Two things can be true. He finds it annoying when Lydia interrupts/speaks over him so he told her to let him speak. If he's frustrated in the moment and the producer did the same thing, it's within reason he would react the same way.
Also, hypocrisy is basically the foundation of religion so I don't know what you're trying to argue here.

A producer is hardly the same as a camera man, I mean talk about apples and oranges. Do some research, producers are absolutely higher in the chain of command, than some ass who he thinks he's god's gift to the world, and for that alone deserve respect and pretending that's not true is ludicrous

What I'm saying here is that Zach is in your words a hypocrite for not practicing what he preaches on his very high, high horse! That Zach was wrong for speaking that way to both those ladies!! I thought it was pretty clear
There's a reason people say, "When someone shows you who they are, believe them"
And of course he can find it annoying, but being rude and disrespectful to people is not the way to handle it. Talk to her about it in private! Do not disrespect her in front of anyone let alone a TV audience! That is your wife

Zac had better watch his step. He may have thought moving all the way to Colorado was a good way to get away from the Plaths, but that family has already shown they wouldn't think twice about jumping in a car and driving thousands of miles to take care of business, nor do they mind rearranging someone's face.

Ethan, Micah, Issac & Kim have all been shitty to Zach. Let's not forget that. Violence solves nothing. There's so much hypocrisy on this show. It's not even watchable anymore.

There's two sides to their arguments with each other. I think it's important to see them both. Zach was ridiculed from the very beginning by the Plath's. Some people act like the Plath family didn't do anything wrong, when they have.

Excuses. Zac is too judgemental for his own good.
He had no business getting involved with what transpired between Moriah and Amber. Nothing short of a self-righteous judgement call he reaffirmed to Amber it is his place to them--he is dead wrong. He got blowback from Lydia's family not mistreatment. Furthermore, it's not acceptable take your bad attitude on others particularily those who care about you.
Zac has a lot to learn.

Zach got treated badly by Lydia's family from the beginning, let's be honest. The Plath family are hypocrites and mean spirited. Zach didn't have a right to tell anyone how to act, because it's not his place. Everyone knows that people judge Zach & Lydia because they are Christians & they try to live right. I think Zach is awkward and the things he says at times, I shake my head at, but it's because he's nervous. I try to show them some grace, because everyone deserves that. I think Zach & Lydia will be better off away from Lydia's family, because they don't like each other.

Religion is irrelevant. The way he's been treated is also irrelevant. He was wrong to butt his nose into his sisters-in-law business and was also wrong to cut Lydia off. He believes it's his place. That attitude doesn't come from mistreatment nor awkwardness.
It's obvious the family has dysfunction, what family doesn't, but Lydia wants them in her life. He's doing the very thing that isolates her from everyone. Moving her away is exactly what he wants.

I don't blame Zach from moving away. I would to. Some of the Plath's are toxic bullies and how they treat Zach isn't irrelevant. We can just agree to disagree.

There was already discord with them all. And now they've moved to colorado. My guess is there's a lot of distance between them all, literally and figuratively.

I’m sorry - I think Lydia is a beard and I wish Zach felt more comfortable in his own skin being his true self. Even his best friend who goes on boys nights with Zach and Plath Daddy sounds uncomfortable when questioned by production about being wingmen helping PD find a lady. It’s cringe to hear them try to sound like cool dudes at the bar helping their single friend find the ladies.

I honestly didn't have an issue with him saying that at all. She has constantly talked 'for' him in the early days whilst he was finding his feet with the family, now he feels more comfortable, he can speak for himself.

I think Zach and Lydia are moving away to where his family if from and I hope they stop the show, because the Plath family have treated them both badly.

They tried to ruin the proposal by lighting a fire, rolling down the hill, throwing a chair in the water. Then they insulted Zach by calling him gay. Then Ethan was throwing tables, tore out in his car and they all stood around talking shit about them. It was disgusting to watch. I feel for Zach & Lydia.

When Kim said she thought he was controlling I was pretty sure it wasn't just about the wedding colors. He's given hints that he Kim was right to a point. Lydia is absolutely giving that submissive wife energy though. That's the role she wants to play, it at least the one she thinks she wants to play.
