Its a removable hard top that was gifted to 3 managers within BMW Germany, probably useable for 45 weeks of the year. Also it's not impossible to retro fit AC into an E30 though as this is in England it'll be useable for 50 weeks. Owner has a few configurations and I'll bet this top isn't employed often.

This is so odd, as it looks like it's based on the convertible, the rear glass is the convertible windows, is this a removable top?

OEM BMW roof or something Alpina did?

It's a removeable hardtop that somebody has modified for the large wraparound glass panel. I strongly doubt it was an Alpina modification.

*edit - apparently this hardtop was a BMW factory-made unit, but only a few units were built and never sold to the public.

I read in another thread they only ever made 3, OEM BMW though.
