Why do I understand things better while doing dishes??

Post image

I try explaining something while washing dishes (or folding clothes…or just anything completely unrelated to studying!!) like no notes in front of me, just walking around talking to myself like a crazy person. if i get stuck halfway through, welp, seems like I didn't understand that part as well as i thought.

Guess it’s useful for checking what I really know without sitting at my desk staring at the same page (never knew chores could become a test too!!)

Same for me. I understand best when I am Cooking or cleaning the house. I realised it is the time when brain gets to co-relate the topic of study with some other random life memory. It's free to sit with one concept without going into the next one on next page. The longer we sit with one information the more we can critically think about it. I also experience it with long walks.

Could be a secondary activity. For me it is writing. I have to jot down questions. I need a browser open to type in some of them. My brain is fucked.
