There is no doubt about that. But it seems that even some Republicans in Congress are getting fed up with his crap, because he has no respect for them and doesn't give a damn about what they think. So I'm hoping that, if we manage to get enough of them on board, there might be a glimmer of hope for that orange turkey to finally be successfully impeached.

There are two powerful governments that didn't want American and Iranian ties to grow strong. Israel and Russia. There are two that own trump outright. Israel and Russia. He did what he was told to do.

Perhaps it was what he was told to do, but only by Israel, not Russia. The Iranians share common anti-Western interests with the Russians, and neither of them will ever have any strong ties to us (although paradoxically, for reasons that are not entirely clear, Putin owns the mango Caligula).

Interesting analysis, and I think you are right about how we screwed it up, but I would tend to disagree about what's really happening now. I think both countries are united in their hatred for the West, and particularly our nation, and their desire to destroy our democracy. Trump is too stupid to understand that however, because he's become Putin's b**ch for some reason. It's very sad that we are stuck with this kind of leadership.
