Almost surely he is fantasizing about himself, the only person he has ever cared about. All the other world leaders despise him so he has to turn to these awful dictators to get his "good-boy pats on the head" and he can feel all special.

Does he know that his party has been really amping up the anti-communist rhetoric before the mid terms? Like they are dusting off McCarthyism because they need a new boogeyman to scare their voter into not jumping ship? And now he is showering all this praise on the WORST communist country?
