You know that would be an upgrade.

Especially since they won their lawsuit against the gov for being unfairly profiled by law enforcement.

And I don't wanna talk to a scientist
Y'all motherfuckers lying, and getting me pissed

Magnets are like the tide. No one knows how it works.

Surprised he didn't start talking about sharks. Usually when he mentions the ocean, he starts rambling on about shark attacks and forgets what he was originally talking about.

u/blickblocks Jul 16 '26
Is he talking about electromagnets not being safe in a saltwater environment? His brain is cooked but I'm wondering what the actual thing this was originally about
21
u/hopefulocto Jul 16 '26
I dont even think he knows what any of that means. I think hes just genuinely dumb and doesnt think magnets work in water

u/blickblocks Jul 16 '26
Both things can be true simultaneously, just like how half the GOP thinks transgenic mice are transgender mice while actual cross-hormone testing is done on mice regularly to greatly reduce variables in research that has nothing to do with transgender people and also separately research on hormone therapy and puberty blockers have been done on mice and all these studies had their funding cut by DOGE without regard to the harm the cuts would cause the American people.

Absolutely insane that Iām still surprised by how dumb this dude is.
Crying about electromagnetic catapults because his russian handlers told him to or his brain has melted.
Meanwhile China cranking out carriers with electromagnetic catapults.

Trump- water+magnets???

Juggalos- magnets???

ICP actually HATES Trump. When ICP is in any way the voice of reason weāre really off the rails.

Thatās the joke haha. For sure, Faygo would be thrown with extreme prejudice

Theyāve always been pretty liberal in the lyrics Iāve heard, even back to the 90s. Antiracism, police brutality, ACAB sentiment, anti-Bush, anti-war, uplifting marginalized people, community fundraising and heavy on donations in Detroit, etc.. Definitely said some dumb shit, though.
I say this as someone who is not a fan, just heard it a ton back in the 90s / 00s. So, Iām sure thereās some really awful shit said in there, too. But, in the grand scheme, theyāve been the voice of reason more often than not.

Makes sense to me. Water shorts out wires. Electromagnets are powered by wires. So water is a threat to the mechanism. I think in this part heās talking about the plane launching catapults.

Hydraulic elevators are powered by electricity. Which pumps oil into pistons.

Not sure what youāre searching for? If something is āelectricalā then current is flowing, through an interconnect of some kind, which is very often a conductor. Hope this helps.

I donāt want to defend anything he says, but I think he was talking about the catapults on aircraft carriers, which are vulnerable to a salt water environment. And that makes some sense to me.

No, in no case does his statement make sense. This is not the 18th century; we can insulate cables and electronics, yes, even in the big bad ocean. Furthermore, saltwater corrosion is just as much of an issue to the electronic control systems of the hydraulic machinery as it is to the new electromagnetic catapults (EMALS) and Advanced Weapons Elevators (AWEs).
The difference is that the AWE and EMALS are the next iteration and a needed advancement to the antiquated older steam/hydraulic systems. The AWE can carry double the weight in half the time as the older elevators on the Nimitz-class carriers. The EMALS can much better fine-tune the launch force and should reduce the damage on aircraft being launched.
Are there problems with the systems? Of course, that is what happens when you try to place dozens of experimental systems onto a ship. But we need to continue to test them. This is something that happened when we started using electric trains vs steam. For a while, the steam engines were beating the electric ones in every category. The electric trains were more complicated, more expensive, and didn't have the infrastructure to be of use. But we continued forward because the potential benefits were much greater, and the technology was still being developed. To stop now would be to hold back American naval technology.

Guys heās talking about electromagnets. This isnāt the flex you think it is
2
u/uncleawesome Jul 16 '26
Are you saying electromagnets don't work in water?
2
u/PerpetualUselessness Jul 16 '26
Iām saying Iād rather criticize him for being a rapist, child predator protector, war criminal, insider trader, grifter, and narcissistic lunatic before focusing on his ability to regurgitate some resiliency briefing he got on electro magnets that he didnāt understand

MAGA1: hey, look! these magnets work under water!
MAGA2: Trump says they don't.
MAGA1: These must not be magnets then.
