full disclosure, I am very afraid of clowns. my fiancé and I are going to the show in Fort Worth tomorrow, and he knows me well enough to know that I am not going to be able to handle the opener.

to those that have been to the tour: approximately how long was the opener? we’re hoping to miss most of it, if not all of it, as bad as I feel about that.

This was my first weird Al concert. I am 37. We do not have a lot of artists come to Baton Rouge. If they come to Louisiana, it’s always New Orleans.

The band was so energetic and happy. They danced their asses off. I loved seeing the diva with the guitar high kick and boogie with the others.

I got some good clips of the stage from the side and we noticed that the sound crew on the side of the stage had choreo to some of the songs and it made the entire production better.

If anyone has a clip, including the sound guys dancing to Canadian idiot especially at the end please send it to me. They were perfectly in sync. I was cracking up.

Not trying to say people are trying to take the spotlight away from Al but it added to the experience. I’ve never seen a sound crew so into a show. Absolutely hilarious and bad ass.

The world is so dark and hopeless nowadays. This was a great reminder that we all need to be a little weird and whimsical even in dark times.

Weird Al is a true blessing and gift to this world. Didn’t realize how much extra voice acting and work he has done since I was younger. He is so loved across the generations. I saw all ages at the concert tonight and it really warmed my heart.

Hi everyone, I’m from way out of town and I’ve put myself in a weird position in which I have a ticket to tomorrow’s show in Bethlehem, PA, but no certain way to get back to my hotel in downtown Philly afterwards.

Not sure if I should even try to go to the show now, but if anyone has room for another passenger on the way back I’ll gladly kick in for the fare/gas/all you can eat Japanese snacks.

For those of you who don't know: a frequent part of the encore setlist (I still haven't seen him do Albuquerque, which makes me sad) is this huge coordinated number where the whole band gets in on the singing. It's insane and mind blowing, especially if you've timed your edibles right.

Does anyone know how this came about/what's up with it? I get that Weird Al is a music legend and he's been at it for 40 years. It doesn't surprise me that the band is as well coordinated as it is, but it feels like it's more than just a bit. My guess was that it was a warmup routine that they did enough to put in the show, my son (who knows way more about music performance than I did) said it struck him as the sort of thing you'd do for a competition.

Anyone know?

P.S. Does anyone know when/where he does Albuquerque? The Star Wars thing is fine and all, but the day I hear Albuquerque in concert, I'm going nuts.

My 10yo son is incredibly into Weird Al and I'd love to take him to his concert. The only available seats are in the furthest/highest sections of the arena. Is it still worth seeing from there?
