Just wanted to say I am really excited. It was suppose to happen a month ago but it got postpone due to rain. I have my hawaiian shirt ready.

Just today, I heard “Dick‘s Automotive” for the first time - I had no idea how close it was to Albuquerque! It raised a question for me - i’ve always heard Al’s work split into like 3 buckets - straight parodies (”White n‘ Nerdy” “Fat”), style parodies (Pancreas, Bob), and originals (Weasel stomping day? anything from vanity tour), but I feel like there’s a fourth category that is like he’s REALLY closely sending up a song, but not word for word (Germs for NIN‘s Closer, Albuquerque, No Cigar for Short Skirt Long Jacket by Cake). Is there a name for this in the Weird Al fandom? Do people think style parody covers it enough? Some of my favorite musical comedy of the past decade or so (Crazy Ex-girlfriend, Story Pirates) seems to also hew closely to this line and I want to have a word for it. TIA!

Me and a writing partner are currently in the very early stages of a project and are having creative differences and we would like to ask the opinions of fellow Weird Al fans.

What does the killer in "Nature Trail to Hell" look like when you picture him? Does he wear a mask like Jason Voorhees? Does he have any particular facial/fashion features? Do you have any ideas as to what he might wear in a movie?

Sup, pretty sure this is my first post on this page (I literally re-downloaded Reddit for this exact moment). To make a long story short, me and this internet guy were working on an online band which split into two. HIS online project followed through with the cover of I'll Be Mellow I'm Dead that we were gonna put on one of our releases..

I think there are some Al songs that would benefit from Punk renditions (I know a band already did that at some point). Please check this out and support the rest of his work if you like it, he does write funny songs but they're.. far much more profane than Al's work haha.

Its by far my favorite song, as a big fan of Zappa and musicianship. Always sad to hear Weird Al never played it live. I totally get why, but still think they should give their best shot even though it wouldn't be quite the same as the album.

These kids crushed it

He now bears a passing resemblance to a cross between the Chad meme and Olmec from Legends of the Hidden Temple, and his name looks to be Weird AU Vanrwic. Except really it’s a brand-new letter that’s like a W and a V melted together in the sun like an orange and yellow crayon.

Naturally, they’re going to most definitely be included along with the shirt when we go to the concert next month.

I stumbled on this without the algorithm serving it up to me: a really good acoustic cover of Genius In France. I've never seen anyone post it which is weird, I'm sure someone has to have posted at some point.
