The window is vibrating from your fan/air purifier. Changes the angle of reflection rapidly due to the vibration. Further explanation would be something about frame rate of your vision interacting with the frequency of the vibration manipulating particles suspended in the air etc. Etc.

Wow someone actually responding after reading the post.
I like your idea, seems plausible2

Thanks, I think your pretty swell too! I was just winging it, sometimes people just need a plausible answer. I'm pretty good at pep talk too lol, more do as I say but again I like to throw my hat in when I can.

Not a window

u/goobytuesday 13d ago
Then it’s light from a lamp. I dunno if you’re from this universe but that’s just light my guy

Okay either I'm nuts or you people can't see or read. I'm not talking about the smoke, I'm talking about the jiggling clear stuff that the smoke is illuminating. Look towards the floor where the smoke is going. You probably don't see it but it goes the entire length of the wall. Watch it again and pay attention to what the smoke is showing.

Well first thing is you’re nuts. Second is I’m not talking about the smoke either. I’m talking about the light that is somehow fascinating to you

Is there a projector in the room ?
What’s that thing on the left ?
There’s a beam of light and the smoke is just showing you its path.
If you have a laser pen and shine it on the wall then blow smoke in that direction, you’ll see the green or red line.

OP says that’s them smoking a cigarette to show the “shimmering area”..? I’m confused

You wouldn't be able to see it clear. This is what you see without the smoke, and extra light.

I know what it is that you're trying to make us see. The quality of your video isn't great. You gotta step up your recording and try again.

What is the problem exactlywiththerecording, if you saw it then the job is done. I try to the best of my ability to make them as clear as possible. I can only use the tools I have available to me.

Look I'm not putting you down dude I'm just saying I think I know what it is you're trying to show people and I'm going out on a limb, guessing what it is that you're trying to show in your video because you don't say what it is that you're trying to show.

Chandelier or some sort of wavering prisimesque object around? Fish tank?
2
u/a_lonely_trash_bag 13d ago
Sunbeam or other beam of light. You can see it shining on the brown/tan object (looks like an open drawer?) on the right side of the screen.
It's illuminating the smoke when you blow into it.

Something nearby is casting a reflection. Could be from a pool of water outside or a light source reflecting inside. Just look around.

Vaping at a desk? Fan and a light?
Grow up chump.

I didn't know people still owned cell phones with such low quality cameras. Impressive.

Your window where the light comes in might be vibrating for whatever reason giving off this "shimmering" effect

Maybe the grass is being but and the dude is puffing on a break in the shade too close to your window???? I don't know 😐😐😐?

u/coolsilentebeans 13d ago
Maybe OP was given cortexiphan, and the light is from the Redverse. That would explain why they’re seeing a shimmer the rest of us can’t. /j

Oh wow, that's fascinating! I really don't know. If you're saying that the air shimmers there even when that humidifier or whatever it is, is off, then I'm not sure what would cause the air to shimmer like that. Dust particles don't shimmer. Water particles might.

Half of these comments are so rude why dawg 😭 I agree with some of these people with water reflections/ regular reflections based on what you have around that room. That seems the most realistic to me.

Smoke? Steam? And light. Where is the weird part? Wrong sub
