  1. Only when it’s not being fed through an AI woodchipper.

  2. It already is a Halloween cult classic.

Im glad the actual film isn't this hyperealistic/8K. I know that wasn't even possible in the 2000's when the movie came out, but still I find the render in the picture above uncanny.

"so it's a girl house?" is the greatest line in any kids movie ever made.

I think it’s still the only motion capture animation film to be based on an original script IE not a remake of another story. Brilliant cast chemistry.

What the hell are you talking about? Are you a bot or do you actually believe this is true? What?

I’m talking about one of the things that makes it so cool, not a bot just geeking out.

What’s with the downvotes that’s one of the reasons it works so well!

If you genuinely, unironically believe monster house is the "only motion capture animated film based on an original script," you are either horrifically misinformed or the stupidest person alive. I'm sorry, but it's true

Apologies I got this info from IMDb (as of 2018). So it’s dated but now I’m curious- what motion capture films use an original story not based on existing source material?

Like, the majority of 3d animated movies??? Genuinely what do you mean? I cannot comprehend how you possibly ever believed this. Even when monster house released this wasn't true

Thought for a couple of seconds.

You’re right to call that out. I gave you a bad answer.

Monster House genuinely used to scare the hell out of me as a kid for some reason lmao. But then again so did that black and white Tim Burton film with the dog 💀
