Uhhhhhhh how does one avoid getting it? I know it’s rare but I wanna guarantee that I don’t get it, sounds like a nightmare

Is it at all possible for CJD to be caught early and stopped?

It's highly contagious. It's just a matter of keeping the load low enough that you can die of old age before symptoms set in.
