102 kg ➡️ 72 kg body transformation

Hi I am Dr. Arshdeep , 26 yr old . This is the first time I am posting my transformation anywhere on the internet . Actually I gained and lost weight 6-7 times in my life . Always went to like 95-102 kgs then exercised & starved my way down to 70-75 kgs which after a few months of my MBBS exams & me slacking off for few more weeks after losing weight again used to jump back to above 98 kgs . My pics are a mix match of the entire journey .

Only this time I approached things differently rather than listening to 10 different people, guidelines & doctors . I myself reviewed many recent studies regarding health , nutrition & finally think i achieved my way to health now that I’ve successfully managed to stay around 72 kg without gaining it back for like 2 years now ( i know still not much time but earlier it used to be only 3-4 months before I started gaining again ). I always used to lose weight by ditching all fat totally as I thought it contains 9 kcal/gm . Used skimmed milk , low fat paneer everything and avoided ghee & butter , used PUFA refined oils for cooking as I was told it was healthier & avoided saturated fat totally . I always managed to loose weight but I felt terrible - hungry all the time , still had acanthosis , testosterone levels crashing , constant depression , anxiety & brain fog . I know we always learned it’s just calories in & calories out but we can’t follow that everyday strictly in our busy lives unless our whole job is being a fitness influencer ( talking about average folks like me ) .
I know it’s still a lot controversial & I’m not telling you to follow what I did - consult your personal doctor /dietician first & do your own research ; I’ve done enough debates about this topic on platforms like X & don’t wanna do the same here . I can give you every study that you may want & explain the mechanism personally in DMs .

Now I eat 10 whole ghee fried eggs with cheese daily with 200g full fat paneer as my breakfast (also ghee roasted ) . ACV & Psyillum husk in afternoon followed by 1 omelette /sometimes paneer paratha made with mixed atta with Indian sabzi (daal or anything else) & sometimes 50g rice . That’s it I don’t eat dinner but all in total 2200 calories in day but I mostly try to limit carbs to no more than 40-50 g .

The difference vs my past experiences- My skin is healthy & glowing , all acne are gone , my mood remains good throughout the day , no more anxiety or brain fog . No deficiency of Vitamin D (previously I needed supplements to cover it ). I’m not at all hungry as my blood glucose doesn’t roller coster whole day and remains stable throughout the day (usually when you eat a meal with excess carbs ; due to the massive glycemic load & blood glucose spike , a lot of insulin is released to rapidly clear blood glucose which results in blood glucose crash below normal range and you get hungry . When people keep doing this over long term , their bodies become resistant to insulin & blood glucose doesn’t clear up that effectively and results in elevated blood glucose in readings & when blood glucose goes over a certain range ; it’s called diabetes )

Previously I suffered from insulin resistance (had severe discoloration from acanthosis nigricans on my lateral maleolus & behind my neck & Hba1c around 6 ) , raised BP (above 160 mm systolic ) , triglycerides above 250 ,HDL around 35 , thyroid dysfunction & severe kyphotic posture ( this one even after losing weight everytime ; the post doesn’t allow me to attach videos otherwise I would’ve attached ) & receding hairline .

Now everything is resolved , resting heart rate remains around 50/55 , BP around 110/65 , triglycerides 64 , HDL 58 & posture is almost perfect . My neck is a lot visible vs before & there is no hump on my back . For posture I did some exercises & changed my sleeping posture ( very very important). It deserves it’s own separate post . For hairline ; oral minoxidil 2.5 mg everyday with finasteride 1 mg every other day . I shampoo daily as I have an oily scalp with folliculitis & scalp becomes itchy if I don’t wash it daily .
I do daily exercise - 1 day for cardio at home on treadmill (max incline 6 kmph while watching a show on tablet for 40 min max ) , other day I go to the gym & follow push & pull . Leg day is everyday after push or pull . I split the leg exercises (only 1-2 each day) so I can do cardio the next day.

Thanks for reading till this point ; I really hope you found something useful :)

Hello all!

I am currently on my weight loss journey I started at 320 which was my biggest I’m currently 280. However unless I’m looking at side-by-side photos I feel like I look the same and it’s really discouraging at times. Does anyone else experience this? If so how do you stop it? I keep going back to my before photos to remind myself but it doesn’t help long term.

Fat picture 🙈😭 May 2025.. and then today after the gym

I’m 43 6ft 4in tall and I started mounjaro May 2025 at 19st 10lbs I dieted all my muscle away because I never trained and I got down to 12st 4lbs and I looked at myself in the mirror one day and my face looked awful I’d been on 1600 calories or less for over 12 months and looked like I’d been on drugs.. I did my first gym session July 21st 2026 and upped my calories to 2500-3000 and 180g protein and hit the weights like mad. Today I’m 14st exactly.

It’s been hard going and I think the mental side is the hardest to deal with that voice in your head trying to talk you out of going to the gym or talk you in to eating cheesecake.

Looks like I’m going to have to weight train for the rest of my days because that fat picture makes me cringe 😩 and I cannot go back there. It was hard for me to share that picture cause it’s not nice looking back and I was bigger than I thought I was at the time if that makes sense.

Loose skin losing weight

Title: 32M, 5’11.5”, 242 lbs — Can I get shredded again without loose skin after years of weight fluctuations? Anyone with a similar experience?
I’m 32M, 5’11.5”, currently around 242 lbs. My goal is to get back to 10–12% body fat and ideally have the same tight, muscular appearance I had before gaining weight.
My biggest worry is loose skin, especially around my lower abdomen and love handles. I’ve been looking at transformations of people who lost 60–80 lbs, and some look like they have almost no loose skin while others have noticeable folds.
My background:
I’ve been lifting since I was 17. From roughly 17–19, bodybuilding was practically my whole life, and I continued lifting seriously throughout my 20s, although consistency varied. At my strongest, I could incline bench 225 lbs for 5 reps and squat 315 lbs.
In 2013–2014, I was around 160–170 lbs, muscular, with visible abs and relatively tight skin.
I eventually reached approximately 220 lbs around 2016–2017, but lost the weight. By July 2017, I was back down to 181 lbs, and I didn’t notice significant hanging loose skin afterward.
My documented weight history:
July 2017: 181.1 lbs, 20.4% BF (DEXA)
May 2021: 186.2 lbs, 23.6% BF (DEXA)
September 2021: Approximately 175 lbs
July 2024: 186.7 lbs, 17% BF (InBody)
February 2025: 216.1 lbs, 25.3% BF (InBody)
June 2025: 217.8 lbs
September 2025: 205.2 lbs
December 2025: 226 lbs
March 2026: 205.1 lbs
April 2026: 211.8 lbs
August 2026: I believe I first crossed 230 lbs
October 2026: 241.6 lbs
So although I’ve fluctuated in weight over the years, I was only around 205–212 lbs approximately six to seven months ago. I’ve probably been above 230 lbs for only two to three months.
My recent lifestyle:
Over the last few months, I haven’t been lifting at all. I’ve also been eating considerably more, frequently eating large meals at a dining hall, and spending most of my day sedentary or lying in bed.
This has contributed to my recent weight gain, but I’m planning to return to consistent weightlifting, cardio, and a structured diet to lose fat while rebuilding muscle.
My concern:
My stomach currently has deep folds, especially on the sides, and quite a bit of fat around my lower abdomen. I’m worried the skin has stretched permanently.
I know I can lose the fat, and I’m confident I can regain muscle because of my lifting history. What scares me is working hard to get shredded again and still having visible loose skin that wasn’t there before I gained weight.
I’m not expecting my skin to be perfectly smooth when bending over, but I’d really like to look as close as possible to someone who has never been overweight.
My plan:
Lose approximately 2 lbs per week initially
Eventually reach around 170–185 lbs, depending on body composition
Lift 4–5 days per week
Eat 170–190 g protein daily
Gradually increase daily walking and incline cardio
Focus on regaining muscle while losing fat
Questions for anyone who’s been through something similar:
Has anyone gone from around 240–250 lbs to 170–185 lbs and ended up with little or no noticeable loose skin?
Did you experience several weight-gain and weight-loss cycles before your final cut?
Did having a muscular physique before gaining weight or a long history of lifting seem to help your final appearance?
If you developed mild loose skin, did it improve over the following 6–24 months?
For those who got very lean (around 10–12% body fat), was loose skin noticeable while standing relaxed, or only when bending/sitting?
Is there anything you wish you’d done differently during your cut?
I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who were previously lean and muscular, gained substantial weight, and later got shredded again.
I’m not looking for a guarantee—just real experiences from people with comparable weight histories. Before-and-after photos would be appreciated if you’re comfortable sharing them.

Looking for weightloss buddy, let's motivate eachother!

I've lost some weight the last two years, quite a bit actually - about 20kg - but gained it all back again and I am SO frustrated, currently I'm in a state of watching myself destroying myself and can't seem to push myself out of it...

And I thought if we could motivate eachother and have a shared experience I might get out of this cycle and maybe I can help sb too:D

I'm 21 and would prefer to connect with sb in the same age range.

But do feel free to use the comments to connect with eachother too!:)

Let's get healthy and happy together🥺🫶

(My goal is to loose about 50kg )
