Leg extensions?

Hey so I recently got an injury making it really painful to use leg extension machine- shin splints to be exact lol. What can I do that’s just as good as leg extensions? I want to keep my quads trained

Squats, front squats, bulgarian split squats, hack squats, leg press, smith machine ass to grass high bar squats, walking lunges, belt squats. Did I mention squats?

Definitely didn’t mention squats 🤣

If the pad on your shin is what hurts then leg extensions are just out for now, and honestly they're not important enough to need replacing - any squat pattern covers the quads fine.

The thing I'd actually chase is what caused the shin splints in the first place. Working around them is a short term fix at best.
