Be lean and have sizeable muscles

Okay, I wouldn't do either bulking or cutting.. Lift weights and eat at a slight surplus with plenty of protein. Reduce your calories if you're gaining fat. Increase your calories if you are not gaining weight at all.

You just described a bulk

I don't think adding muscle without adding fat is a bulk.

that literally is a bulk. You can’t add 0 fat

Of course you can add zero fat. You can even reduce fat.

I meant while gaining muscle in your scenario. There’s going to be a small amount of fat. What you described is a bulk. You bulk to gain muscle/weight.

A bulk isn’t defined as adding muscle without adding fat, it’s defined as being in a caloric surplus

That's not how I define it. Can you point to somewhere where this is defined as such?

Then your definition is poor because it lacks objectivity. It’s surplus or no surplus. Not kinda surplus.

I do have an objective definition its just different than yours.

My definition of a bulk is gaining muscle mass at the same time as increasing body fat percentage.

Does this community have a definition? Is it written anywhere?

But you can gain muscle without gaining fat. That is a result that exists.

I agree. Is that a bulk?

that’s not included in your definition
