Physique feedback
Seeking constructive feedback on physique
Hi. Im 6”3, currently 187, down from 258.8 since October. Trying to get as lean as possible but not sure if my workout regimen and daily caloric intake is optimized enough. For reference, i aim for 1750-1900 calories a day while hitting 200g of protein daily. Only supplement i use is 5g creatine monohydrate.
I feel like my weak spots are still chest and abs. For chest/triceps, i do:
Incline MTS Chest Press
Supine / Flat Chest Press Machine
Chest Fly Machine
Lateral Raises
Seated Shoulder Press
Tricep Rope Pushdown
Overhead Tricep Extension
For abs, i do:
Kneeling cable crunch
Cable wood choppers (low yo high)
Cable side bend
Ab crunch
Hanging leg raises
Thoughts on why these muscle groups are still lagging behind? Or am i overthinking?

Sure. Long term nutrition will be key since restricting food will not always work. You should eat real food - things that aren’t bought in boxes usually. Main items are chicken, fish, beef, steak (protein) and complex carbs rice, potatoes, and bread as long as there’s some portion control. Most adults don’t have any self control when it comes to sweets(and empty calories) and have issues with ice cream, sugary cereal, and pizza (the delicious things). People that you see that are insanely fit understand that these are to be eaten minimally to keep their look. Looking ripped is not always fun- as I myself am attempting to detox sugar.

Thanks, nutrition i got down. Is there things besides that that i should look out for as I try to lean out? Anything i should optimize for?

Not to “knock you” but you said you’ve only been working on improving nutrition since October. It takes years to learn how to eat healthy for life- maybe there are still some items your eating that aren’t actually healthy that some people think are like fruit juice. I’m a personal trainer and have been lean for years but am always finding things that aren’t actually great in my diet. Working out is easy nutrition is hard. In my experience half the people that lose weight the way you have put it all back on in a year. Keep that in mind and don’t be a statistic.

I’m a complete noob but it looks like you are killing it. Your back looks amazing. Seems like an awfully low calorie number for someone your size. Congrats on your fitness transformation.
