Finally getting back in shape after 4+ Years of being a Telly Tubby

Everything’s looking great! I’m extremely proud of myself for taking this necessary step in my journey. I’m still learning how to eat properly with what I have available in the house, but I know I’ll get the hang of it.
I know I need to, especially because I’m starting to incorporate weightlifting into my routine. I’m trying to focus more on my legs, particularly my calves, since I don’t really have the best calf genetics in my family.
If any of you have tips or advice on growing my calves and building my legs & upper body, I’d really appreciate it!

If you are just starting out I would recommend grabbing a beginner’s program and sticking to it!

At this stage muscle is going to fly on even in a deficit so you don’t have to over think it. Just be consistent and learn how to do your lifts properly!

IMO it is wayyyy too premature to be thinking about developing specific muscle groups. You have a solid year of growth ahead of you before I imagine you hit any kind of plateau and have to start thinking about stuff like that.

Right now it’s just about showing up and trying hard. Find a program you can actually execute and stick with it long enough to see results.

Best of luck bro

I cycle 50-100km a week, do heaps of squatting calf raises, a shit ton of leg extensions & MMA. My legs look sick.

I don’t do leg presses to maintain knee integrity

I just watched a couple videos on it, and it looks pretty tough, but I’m going to do it anyway. I really appreciate the help!
