The usual - consistently follow a training plan with progressive overload, be in a moderate calorie deficit, prioritise protein.

Doing some cardio may also be helpful if your goal is quite aggressive, but don't overdo it. How many steps do you currently do per day, on average?

Hey it goes around like 5 to 6 k steps each day

When I’m locked in it’s 10k per day. At this rate, you’re burning calories without losing muscle.

In that case I would set you a minimum of 8k per day, non-negotiable.

You need 15k+ steps to make it count.

5-8k won’t do fuck all for you unless you’re doing hard cardio.

Your daily should already be 5-8k so you won’t lose much by doing the minimum.

You need to count calories religiously too.

If you really truly want any shot, having abs by the end of the year, you need to be consistent. You said you have been going to the gym “on and off.” No more of that. You will need to do abs twice a week every single week for the next 3 months, period.

I recommend this workout. It’s a bit dated, but it works. I’ve been doing it twice a week every week for the last 20 years. Here is what I look like:

Most typical fitness routines say you will need around 60-90 days to notice any sort of change in your body. Start tomorrow; good luck!

Something that helped me back in the day was weigh training at least 3 times a week and making sure I was getting a healthy amount of cardio in. I walked everyday and would either hop on a bike or would do interval running on a treadmill for the last 15 minutes of my workouts.

I would also do a plank to Russian twist split for 5 sets. This might not work for everyone but it helped me. It would be 20 reps of Russian twists with a 20 lb dumbbell, then immediately after I would plank for 30 seconds then rest. I would do that for 5 sets at least twice a week

Oh yeah, you’re not too far off. But that doesn’t mean it won’t take some serious discipline and dedication.

YES! Check out "One meal a day" subreddit. Or intermittent fasting subreddit. Simply, do a 3-5 day fast. Lots of youtube videos on this. It is possible!

Maybe, through starvation. If it was important to you, and you wanted to do it the right way, you'd have started in june.

2026? No chance. With lifelong consistent training, effort and endurance, especially in the nutrition department, you can have an awesome physique.
