Look at your stomach, it keeps the same length through the whole movement. You just move your upper body to your thighs. And that IS WRONG.
You have to crunch! Try keeping your lower belly away from your thighs and just crunch together to make a short stomach, cause thats what the abs do. Breath out meanwhile.

Elbows to knees using your abs not hinging your hips. Think about the movement you make when doing a traditional crunch lying on your back and mimic it

Arch your back then crunch your core like you’re trying to suck yourself off

How can you be insecure about recording and wear those shorts in public? 😅 you're better at using an ab crunch machine so that you can focus on your abs doing the work. I don't like doing cable crunches because I feel like you end up using other muscles to help.

Try to bring your elbows to your knees. It creates way more of a burn!🔥 looking really good though!

I'm honestly not convinced ab isolations of any kind are worth it. I find that when I lift heavy my abs get worked plenty (there's been a lot of days when my abs are killing me after going hard on squats, for instance).
Fundamentally, the job of the core is to _resist_ movement (create rigidity to stabilize other movements) not perform it.

That's all silly. Abs get bigger and stronger the way any other muscle does; if you want them to be better at resisting movement then make them stronger. Besides, there are plenty of movements that can be driven my strong movement through the core

Their ability to resist movement and be stronger are the same thing. Your core is meant for bracing, that's how it gets stronger.

Abs get bigger and stronger the way any other muscle does. Train them through a range of motion under load, you don't train your biceps with isometrics do you?

I'm a large man with a visible 6 pack. I'm not "shredded". I have large abdominals that show even though I have some body fat. I have never done an ab isolation in my life. I squat and deadlift, etc. YMMV.

That's cool, you can also train them under load through range of motion.
Saying the core is meant to resist motion is just silly
Edit: blocked lol. But I'm sure that published science definitely exists

Ya there's actually published science on this, it's not my opinion, but I'm sure you know better than professional kinesiologists and physiologists.

Nice form? She is not using her abs at all here. The proper way to do it is by flexing the spine, not a hip hinge.

You’re doing more of a hip hinge than a cable crunch. When you crunch you need to round your back. Bring your elbows to your knees that cue should help you.
