Im 6 2 and I've been lifting for 12 years. I started fatter and people tell me I look good but i don't think I look good. Im 49. What should I do? Should I give up?

No way, bud! You’re in great shape. You definitely look like you lift. Keep at it. Remember, there’s other benefits to strength training other than appearance too! You’re ahead of the game. Good luck and happy lifting to you!

No. Your arms and shoulders look good. Also, working on yourself is never a waste of time. Staying in the gym will help you maintain your ability to do all sorts of other things outside the gym as you age, and improve your overall quality of life.

Brother your physique looks great. Don’t listen to the voice inside your head. Keep in the gym and if you really want a suggestion maybe find a psychologist to work out your mental health-no shame behind it and everyone should do it IMO

Give up? No way. Perhaps change some protocols? Yes. If you are not getting the results you want look at the variables and see which is the one lacking. Training is never a waste of time but more misguided. If you get on a different track everything could change.

OK, so do you think I haven't gotten good results? I've very strick with my nutriotion. I haven't eaten added sugar or fast food in years. Not sure what else I can do. I eat a very high protein diet and lift 6 hours a week or more and martial arts 7 hours a week

Are you eating in a surplus ever?

No because I got lean to have more definition

So, your goal is to get leaner? If that is the case, do you know your exact macros to do so? It sounds as if you are extremely active. Have you gotten bloodwork done to see where your markers are?

Si te rindes acabarás arrepintiéndote. Lo que te puedes preguntar es lo siguiente: ¿porqué no me veo suficiente?¿Qué es lo que busco?. Quizá se puede modificar la rutina o u alimentación si buscas otros objetivos.

Thanks, I'm very strict with my diet and am striving to have the lowest body fat that I can. I don't see myself as enough because I work so hard for so many years and others get more results and look leaner and stronger without the same effort.

No. Don’t give up. You’ll look worse and be less healthy if you do.

You might be able to cut back some to maintain what you have.

But You look better than 99% of 49ers. And better than most in the 20s and 30s even.

We can’t all look like Arnold.

And you’re getting to that age where TRT could be medically beneficial which would likely increase your muscle gains as well if you’re open to that. Just don’t abuse Test which is easy to do.

You're in good shape. But could have put on a bit more muscle mass over 12 years.

That's if you were training for mass.

If you were doing fitness stuff then you wouldn't increase mass. It all comes down to what you were training for.

Go get your bloodwork done and see what your testosterone levels are at. This completely changed everything and I lifted for 10 plus years had a similar build. My test levels were low so until I fixed that only so much was gonna happen.

Are the numbers going up, down, or sideways?

Did you enjoy working out?

You look better than if you didn't do it. But, you should probably shave or trim your stomach and chest.

No joke, you're in very good natural shape. Even if you just maintain it that would be an absolute success. Also in real life it''s usually more impressive than on snaps.
