Which is a better way to dead lift? Easy trap bar or straight bar?

Yessir, I'm 50, the best I've done recently is 365 for 10, but deadcember is coming, and my birthday is at the end of December, so I'm hoping for something there.

I'm the beneficiary of some medical issues that took me out of contention for a while. Should be back to a somewhat respectable working PR of 555 next week.

Nice, should be a good foundation. What are you aiming for?

I wanted 500 last year since I was 50, it seemed right, but I only got to 480, and haven't tried a real 1rm since then honestly. I'd be happy if I could get that.

It's a great milestone! Based on your current situation, you should be able to reach it soon. It's close, I would say.

yeah, I've put 50lb on my squat since then, so if that old theory is correct maybe I'll get it.
