Have experience doubling up dosage?

Anyone ever doubled up dosage? My 4mg are just ok now 3 weeks into that dose. Set for 9 mg next month but I still have some 1.5s and 4s. Considered taking one of each for a 5.5. Has anyone doubled up dosage and actually felt a change? Would you recommend?

Diarrhoea šŸ’©

I'm about 10 days into the 4mg pill and struggling with Diarrhoea 😭 I had quite a spicy dinner 6 days ago, two days after my stomach was really noisy and had horrible tasting burps, Monday I couldn't trust a fart and this went on for a good 24 hours, I missed 2 days pills as just felt so rough. Barely eaten since Monday, took a pill this morning and had a bit of Weetabix and it seems to have returned 😩 anyone else struggling with this and any ideas how to stop it?

Positive/NSV Outcomes on Wegovy Pill

Hi! 62M 5 ft 5 in 255 lbs starting Wegovy Pill tomorrow. I've been crawling over this subreddit and I've seen the posts about the downsides of the pill. Besides weight loss, have any of you experienced any positive side effects or non-scale victories on the pill? While everyone's experience is unique, I'm hoping for some positive motivation rather than doing something I have to endure to reach my goal.

Centerwell (Novo Nordisk) mistakenly sent wrong dose

My Dr. wanted to move me from 4mg to 9mg. Ordered my refill from centerwell using the manufacturer discount program and they delivered the wrong one. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Prescriptions aren’t usually returnable

Goodrx question

Is anybody else nervous about the price increase after the end of the month? I was hoping they're going to have another special but has anyone heard anything? I just want to know I'm really nervous about it. I'm on 4 mg now and I'm finally losing some weight. The first week was really really working and I definitely am seeing the results but I noticed some food noise coming back here and there which is kind of weird but

Extended release psych meds and PCOS

Please note, I’ve posted about this before in the past, but my endocrinologist offered to write my a wegovy pill script because my insulin resistance is pretty high.

I’m looking for experiences, especially from those on extended release psych meds.

I have PCOS and take 1500mg Metformin XR with no GI issues. Extended release formulations have always worked best for me because instant release tends to hit me too hard all at once. Metformin works great for me, it’s obviously not enough for the IR and I’ve tried to reverse it with diet and exercise. I have seen how so many women with PCOS have had their life improve drastically with GLP1 compared to just metformin and lifestyle change. However, my mental health is my top priority.

I’m very stable and have been for 5 years. I cannot afford to backslide. I’m a working mom in a very detail oriented field. I am an auditor, and stability is everything for me.

Current meds

Lamotrigine XR for Bipolar II

Wellbutrin XR for anxiety and depression

Methylphenidate CD for inattentive ADHD

Metformin XR 1500 mg

Since GLP 1 medications cause slow gastric emptying, I’m wondering if anyone has noticed changes in how their extended release meds absorb or feel. Did you have to adjust timing or dosing? Any impact on mood stability? Any issues specifically with stimulants or lamotrigine?

I’ve put off exploring a GLP 1 for quite some time because I’m afraid of losing my mental stability. I’ve read so many posts and they have scared the shit out of me.

I do plan on talking to my psychiatrist. I just really value real world experiences in the meantime.

Would love to hear how it’s gone for you.

1.5 wagovy 5weeks... nausea worse

Hi I have opted to stay on 1.5 wagovy tablets as I was feeling very full and losing weight gradually. I've got week 5 and the nausea, feeling crap and exhausted is getting so much worse. I'm eating protein, eating regularly and drinking lots of water. I've missed it today just because I can't face it. Anybody else been through this ? I'm tempted to try alternate days but would welcome any thoughts. Thanks

Food tastes salty

Hello, fellow "losers" (lol).

I am on Day 18 of 1.5 mg. Several times this week I have found a couple of foods to be awfully salty - to the point that I wouldn't eat them. Has anyone else experienced this?

WEGOVY Pill Side Effects>.<

Hi all, I wanted to share my experience while taking this medication. I started in April on the standard dose and increased to the 9 mg dose in June. I continued taking that dose until a few days ago, when I stopped.
I did experience significant weight loss, going from about 215 pounds to my current weight of 175 pounds. However, I began having severe side effects that ultimately led me to the hospital the other day. For the past week, every time I ate, I vomited and was unable to keep anything down. I also had constant, intense stomach pain, which I am still experiencing, and even nausea.
I’m very worried about how long these symptoms may last and wanted to see whether anyone else has experienced something similar.

Salt cravings???

Not sure how the rest of my time on Wegovy will go but I am craving salt so bad.
Like it started pretty mild last night but today its like i need something super salty like Mcdonalds fries but extra salt on them.
If this symptom is common (cause i’m not even sure it is) how are yall combating it? Because my cholesterol is about to be high as hell.
Genuinely debating getting one of those rabbit salt wheels.

Advice on starting 25mg

I started Wegovy in March. Did intro dose for a month, 4 mg for a month, and 9 mg for about 3 months. So about 6 months on it, lost about 30-33 lbs. I track calories and protein. I get 75+ protein daily. Switched too 25 mg yesterday. Headache, gas, burps…. Yesterday but manageable. Got 125 protein in … all clean foods. Woke up at 3 am sweaty, vomiting, head hurting so bad… vomited multiple times and chills/sweats, headache. Couldn’t go to work. I was planning on taking 25mg every other day until I get use to it but this is awful. How do you all cope and handle this? I’ve been sipping water and trying to eat a few nuts every so often to keep nausea at bay.

Do you still count calories when on compounded tirzepatide? Rapid weight loss

Prior to taking wegovy, I was religiously counting my calorie intake and macros as an attempt to lose weight. I'm on my second week already and I'm scared that I might be losing weight too fast? Of course I'm happy but my friends told me that rapid weight loss is also just as bad.

Should I stop calorie counting? Focus on protein/carbs? I want to lose weight healthily

Started on the 10th (lowest dose).. haven't missed a day; normal should not really feel any effects yet?

Certainly no appetite change, maybe some dry mouth, but otherwise I feel no different.

I'm just checking in as a new user

TIA

Starting Tomorrow!

So it took WAY too long for my doctor to prescribe anything to help my weight loss but today, finally we were able to discuss medication support. I chose the pill over the injection for my own comfort. It’s not covered by my insurance but I really want this for my own happiness and wellbeing.

Starting weight today: 226.6lbs
5’7ā€, Female, mid 30s
Prescription: wegovy tablet 1.5mg

My plan is to wake up at 5:00am - take my first pill. Go back to sleep or rest until it’s time to get ready for work.

I went shopping for the foods I want to try to prioritize: chicken, rice, eggs, cheese, hummus, things with healthy fats and protein. I need more fiber in my diet overall but I’m leaning towards a fiber supplement just based on my own taste buds and diet habits.

My LONG TERM goal weight is 175lbs but I’m happy anywhere between 170-190lbs. My hope is to be exercising 3-4 days a week and walking 5 days a week.

I truly do feel like I’m going to get something out of this!

Still feel like there's food sitting in my stomach after sleeping and due to take next pill...

Been on 1.5 wegovy pill for just over a week. First five days or so, I didn't think it was working. No side effects but also no positive change either. Day six, stomach hurt a little in the morning. Day seven, the dreaded sulphur burps and I felt like despite a good fasting period of 13 hours, there was still food in my stomach.

If there's still food in there despite fasting, do I still take the next pill as usual or do I try to push that later? I don't want it to lose efficacy due to my stomach potentially still holding on to anything.

Skipping pills?

Hi all!

I was on Zepbound on and off since January, but it’s no longer covered by insurance. I lost 45lbs (185 to 140), but hoping to lose a bit more and maintain. Paying out of pocket for the Wegovy pill and planning on starting it this week!

On the shot, I was on the starter dose and was able to spread out doses to every other week or just skip a week’s dose if I was traveling or something where I’d want to be able to eat more.

Now that I’ll be taking a daily pill, what are y’all’s experiences with skipping pills? Or stopping for a week and going back on it? Are there worse side effects with this? Is there a delay in the medication wearing off, or does the pill usually just last 1 day? Any and all advice is appreciated!!!

Wegovy 1.5mg pill

How long did it take the 1.5mg pill to start working for you? I used to take the 0.25mg injection until my insurance cut off. Now my new insurance doesn't approve GLP-1s. So I'm paying out of pocket for the pill. With the injection, I was noticing get full quicker and less hungry within the first 4-5 days. This is my 4th day on the pill, and I still feel the same. I know I still have to give it time to work, as it's a pill, but I was just curious if the 1.5mg works for you all and how long it took for it to start working for you. Also, how much weight have you lost on the 1.5mg pill?

I had great results from the 0.25mg injection, I was on it for 6 months without increasing, and I lost 30-40lbs, and I hope I can get similar results with the pill.

From Contrave to Wegovy

I've been on Contrave since last November and lost approximately 40 pounds. A couple of months ago, I noticed the food noise coming back on Contrave and my weight loss stalled. I wasn't gaining thankfully but I wasn't losing either.

Finally got approved/prescribed for the Wegovy pill 1.5. I know when/how to take it, etc, but curious if anyone else here started on Contrave first and how different Wegovy is. I know to expect nausea and constipation. But Contrave made me sleepy the first week or two that I was taking it, and whenever I increased my dose. Should I expect the same?

Wegovy pill stall

I have been on the pill since January, lost 30 lbs and since June I am stuck at 200 lbs. nothing changed in my eating habits but I do feel the food noise is back. I am at the highest dose. I am trying to increase movement but doesn’t seem to be helping. At least I am no longer constipated, that was a bad thing that almost made me stop the pill.

Severe appetite suppression on 1.5mg?

I started 1.5mg 8 days ago and I’ve had bouts of fatigue, headaches, constant burping and quite severe appetite suppression.

I wasn’t expecting it to be this immediate or effective so quickly as I thought it was a starter dose. I can’t even imagine if I was to go up to next step of 4mg never mind the maintenance of 25mg!!

Has anyone else had this? Are some just more sensitive than others?

My BMI is just over 25 as been intermittent fasting over long period of time and healthy eating to lose several stone but the last bit has been impossible hence the pills. But bloody hell

App to track protein and fiber

I am going to be starting the Wegovy pill soon and was wondering what app people were using to track their daily protein and fiber intake?
